And to end my January, a relaxing spa sensation!

To end my month, i would like to share my January picks of my DIY Spa session at home. Since its a new year, another year older, i will be taking care of my skin starting from this year onwards. And since i've not been giving enough attention to my skin, poor skin :( So, i have made 2015 a commitment to give my skin more love and affection to ensure that it stays as healthy as ever for the years to come.

So, if you don't know yet, I'm twenty-three this year, and i have realised that they are a few changes to my lifestyle, and also the amount of activities that tires you out really fast! It has been a busy month for me, with working and masters at the same time, so i decided that a stress-free spa day should be practiced at least once a month. Therefore, to start ahead a spa day, of course you need to stand by some products right?

Before i explain, what is what, above would be some products sponsored by the Butterfly Project, so thank you for all these goodies for me to try out. What you can find above are some pampering products for your skin and hair.

Products in photo:
1. Nature Republic Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask Sheet
2. Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask
3. Always 21 Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Mist
4. Matrix Biolage Smooth proof Shampoo
5. GlamGlow Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment
6. L'occitane Arlesienne Velvet Hand Cream

So, lets start with the face mask first. We have two different kind of mask here, one from Korea which would be the Nature Republic Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask Sheet and the other one would be from Japan, Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask.

To be frank, both mask from Korea and Japan are very competitive. In terms of facial cares. But in this scenario. I would say that it depends on your preference. For affordable skin care which are good, go for Nature Republic Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask Sheet, because they are cheap and well, if you're a K-pop fan, how can you resist the cute korean boys on each pack. hehe. On the other hand, if you prefer a more high end touch of face mask, go for Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask.

I tried both mask, and like any other mask, it works the same to me. Apply, then wait 15 minutes, rinse and shower. Both had an amazing after feel keeping your skin feeling clean and most importantly hydrated. But personally, i would go for the Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask, because the effects are more intense hydration when it comes to really stressed skin.

After rinsing off the extras of the mask, i decided to spray some soothing gel mist since we all know that aloe vera is good at repairing skin. Always 21 is from Korea (like,  of course) and it works as a repairing agent for the skin. I like how it felt when i sprayed it on my face and skin! I just recently got sunburned cause i was running under the sun, and after applying some aloe vera mist, it made my skin felt less irritated and also it had an cooling after effect.

But of course, its still because its aloe vera. It keeps your skin hydrated and repairs your skin. This mist is convenient to me cause it does not need to be rubbed like the usual aloe vera gels. Saves time, and its easy to apply! This would be useful in my cupboard filled with skin cares! So much win. hehe. And psst, I've been using this before i apply make up too, and it works amazing!

Matrix Biolage Smooth Proof Shampoo is really good for pampering. Cost slightly more than usual shampoo, but the effects are instant. My hair was really dry before i used it, but when i applied Matrix Biolage Smooth proof Shampoo and rinse, it was like instant smoothness! If you need more attention for your hair, i would suggest this as its instant results and also it provides the right nutrients  for your hair. Whats there not to love? ;)

This is special, the GlamGlow Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment. If you have not heard about GlamGlow, let me give you a small introduction to it. IT DOES WONDERS INSTANTLY! You can get GlamGlow at Sephora, but price wise, its on the expensive side, but it is definitely worth it! Since its a treatment mask, i applied it on my face and rinsed, with instant hydrating results. I had flaky skin because my skin was dry, but when i applied GlamGlow, it instantly removes mu dead skin and also my flakes of dry skin.

And last but not least, you will still need to bring some stuff around to keep yourself constantly pampered right? This would be the L'occitane Arlesienne Velvet Hand Cream, where you can just bring it around as its travel sized. LOVE! The scent has a violet floral scent which is rather soothing to be smelling. I am very particular when it comes to hand cream, but L'occitane Arlesienne Velvet Hand Cream was surprisingly very satisfying. Not only that it smells really good but also it does not leave a buttery feel to your hands. Absorbs by skin really well, and its non-sticky!

Today marks the final day of January in the year of 2015.*cries* Time passes really fast don't you think so?  But i guess theres always more to look forward too right? So goodbye January and Hello February! I hope you enjoy reading my small review here, but fear not, because i have more posts to share with you in February! Stay tuned ;)

Its Pink-February!

Hello everyone, as we all know that valentines is just around the corner, i have decided to do a Pink February sensation! Well, why pink? Because its the colour of love *inserts heart emoticon here*

Here are some of my selected essentials that i will be using to create my Pink-February look.
1. Lip Tatto Shinzens, RM168
2. Maybelline Baby Lips in Electro Pop in Pink Shock, RM10.90
3. Colour Collection Hotlights in Sparkle, RM24.90
4. Dolly wink eye liner, RM49.00
5. Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in Berry Sexy, RM9.90

First, i decided to apply some lip tattoo by Shinzens to moist and get a natural shine to my lips before applying Baby Lips by Maybelline. By applying the lip tattoo, you can see that the colour goes darker naturally and it also moistures your lips too!

Next, apply Baby Lips by Maybelline to your lips to get a slightly darker pink. And guess what? It works wonders on your lips too! It moisturises and keeps your lips hydrated. Talk about double moisture power! The best part about this lip balm is that it does add some colour onto your lips, but at  the same time it keeps your lips looking natural. Not too dark, but it compliments your lips to be looking natural in February.

Next would be the final touch of applying Color Hotlights in Sparkle. This is my personal favourite, and I'm going to definitely tell you all about it! The word hotlights literally means 'lights', in what way? Do refer to photo attached below.

Aint it cool or what? Especially at times when it gets pretty dark, you are still able to get just light to touch up your lips before the lights come on, keeping you looking amazing even in the dark. There is also a mirror attached with the base of the the tube, just good enough to apply some gloss and shine on your lips. Loving how it looks so naturally sparkly, who would want to kiss on valentines with Hotlights on your lips? *wink

Next would be that you can apply some eyeshadow, just to match the outfit you're wearing or simple a day of going nude. NO! not literally nude, but nude as in without make up. Teehee. Whats so special about this eyeliner would be that its easy to apply as it has a sharp tip where its easy to draw designs on your eyelids. Very smooth, very easy to apply. Did i also mention that its from Japan? Whats there not to love when it comes with precisions?

And of course, the Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish in Berry Sexy! Its amazing how i loved the colour! Very fierce yet classically elegant. Embracing the true women we are.

*Drum rolls please*

As for the final outcome, this is the overall view of it. Im not sure about you, but i think i look pretty natural. HAHA. If you have your own pink-february look, don't forget to hashtag #pinkfebruary and share some of your definition of #pinkfebruary. Well, thats all for now. Toddles

With love,

Good Day readers,

Apparently today I'm in the mood to share a purchase that i've bought online. And today, i'll be talking about Groupon Malaysia. So, I have been urging to get myself some proper make up brushes, cause apparently i need to learn hot to groom myself, since yknow, being all I'm a woman now and etc. HAHA

Im sure y'all have heard of Groupon right? And yep, you got that right, its Real Technique Makeup Brushes up for RM49, and yep, thats seriously a good deal. Cause usually just one brush would cost you up to RM30. Some of you were wondering how trustworthy can Groupon be? Well, thats the whole purpose of this post, imma tell you all about it.

I purchased and paid through Maybank2u. And around two and a half weeks later, i got it right in front of my door step! The wait wasn't as bad, but it was slightly irritating as sometimes it bugs you on when is it going to arrive. But since i got mine, YAY! So, how was the condition of it? Well, lets see some photos that i took.

Real product received.

Real product received.

Real product received.

Well, i think the box still in shape but totally destroyed at the bottom left. So if you're planning to purchase this and wrap it up for a friends birthday, buying it from Groupon might not be the best idea. But if you're buying it for yourself, screw the presentation! Its the content that you want right? Plus, knowing that you're paying a fraction of the price, thats a deal breaker.

Even though the box was partly destroyed, the brushes were fine and in a 10/10 condition. Well, from the looks of it, it does look authentic and the brushes were as mentioned on their website, where the material of the bristles were made out of Taklon and the Brush handle is made out of Aluminium. Perfect!

I gave my wax virginity to BUBBLE GUM WAX, and i have no regrets!

Introducing, Bubble Gum Wax, where i would say that its the best place to be waxed, word!

Sorry for the OBSCENE post title up there, but yes, I have to admit that I'm a wax virgin, till today. Today was the day that i had my first go on waxing. GOSH, the amount of intense that i had to go through today. And to make it worst, it wasn't any ordinary leg, nor armpit waxing, but it was my first brazilian wax treatment too!

They also have their own products you can try out.
As it was a bloggers event, 20 of us were i invited to their official launching of their 2nd branch located in Damansara, where as the 1st branch is currently located at Sri Hartamas in Kuala Lumpur. I was so excited about checking out Bubblegum wax to be honest as i heard a lot about Bubble Gum Wax, even the name of the shop is so hip and fresh.

The sexy bloggers of The Butterfly Project
So, I'm here basically to write about my FIRST experience on Brazilian Waxing. Yes, i know, its a shh topic, but I'm sure some of you might want to know what happens down there once you're getting a brazilian wax for the first time.

A touch of modern + raw architecture.
So, when i walked into the store, it had this very natural raw feeling to it. Coming from an architecture background, i took the interior as very raw, a.k.a unleashing the inner beauty in you. HAHA. ok, I'm not sure what I'm talking about. but yes, normal buildings would have finishes, but this was slightly different. its like a naked interior, but it still looks pretty!

My black brooklyn outfit of the day.
As you can see in the photo above, yep, those are literally raw bricks, and raw concrete. It was definitely pose worthy. Looks like a perfect place for a photoshoot too after you get your waxing done. teehee. So, the procedure was that you will be seated down until a consultant comes out and calls your name. Well, i didn't have to wait that long till they called my name, but it could be cause i was nervous.

An artistic touch of interior
Private rooms
Once you're name is called, they'll bring you to a room that looks like this. In my case, i was getting a Brazilian Wax done. and the instruction was to take off the bottom part of my clothes and get myself up on their bed and cover it with a towel. How i was feeling? Well, knowing that i was bottomless, with just a towel on, it was nerve recking. Then the consultant kindly asked if i was ready, and i said yes. So she came in and greeted me really nicely.

At first, it felt pretty awkward once she took the towel off me to see if its the right length to be waxed. But unfortunately it was slightly on the short side. My consultant suggested that it would be better if i did it in another 2 weeks, but she also gave me the option if i just wanted to proceed with it anyway, and i said might as well, since I'm already here.

The wax table with the appliances arrayed neatly
The experience during the whole process wasn't as awkward as i though it would be, knowing theres someone else looking at my privates up close. *shy moment*  But ya, it wasn't. Well, she was really professional in handling the whole awkward situation by starting a conversation. Explaining about how to properly take care of my privates and explaining the difference between hard wax and soft wax. The wax they used is from Spain, and i think it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would.

She was my consultant for the day, meet Wendy.
It didn't take long, in my case, it took us less than 30 minutes to get every thing off and it was exhilarating to know that I'm hairless & flawless. Not that anyone cares. haha. but it felt really clean and smooth, period. The highlight of the whole procedure was that after everything was done and all plucked off, they applied this cream around the waxed area to make sure your skin doesn't dries off and irritates the skin. It has this minty cool feeling, and its similar to the feeling of a minty fresh breath after brushing your teeth, except well, it was at another part of your body. Did i mention that the cream is by their own company? How cool is that!

Of course, they is always promotions!
If you're interested to get your 'first time' done, i would really recommend you to go to Bubblegum Wax! And here's a major plus, if its your first time getting your waxing done at Bubble Gum Wax, you'll get a special promotion of RM29 for a Brazilian Wax! How cool is that? Cause as far as i know, Brazilian waxing can be really pricey. Did i also mention that they do waxing for men too? Hint to the boys who's reading this *wink

Opening hours

Their opening hours would be from Tuesday to Sunday. Where on weekdays they open from 11am till 8pm or on weekends from 11am till 6pm. Since they get the job done really fast, i might just drop by during lunch and get my waxing done ;)

Some yummy treats they prepared for us :)
These were my favs, taste really good. But it felt weird eating boobs and butts that tasted like chocolate chip cookies.

Who doesn't love candy bars?!
They were also really kind by welcoming us with some treats! It was yums and it looks too good to be eaten. Especially the cookies decorated like there wearing underwear. hehe

Me with Arpita, credits to mamsan for taking this photo of us <3 td="">
And not to forget, the owner who made it all happen, Jesslyn.

Shinzen's Lip Tattoo Review

So, I finally have the privilege to own my very on SHINZENS lip tattoo! I've always been stopped by promoters to try it out, especially when I'm in Pavillion. Its pretty cool that it change colour through your skin temperature, but the reason i never really got the chance to actually buy it was because i thought it was a little bit too pricey. BUT YAY! Thanks to the butterfly project, i officially have my very own SHINZENS lip tattoo. T.T

And here i am sharing my experience of using it. It was one of the highlights that butterflies were receiving in their Christmas Box. A little bit of an introduction on SHINZENS, its a skincare and cosmetic brand originated from Korea, and I'm sure we'all know what Korea is famous for right? And the spectacular feature of this would be that its purely made out of natural and botanical ingredients. Out with the fake, in with the organic ingredients right? Security wise, it feels a whole lot better when  the ingredients are natural, so thats a plus!

I made a check of the ingredients as well as its made out of water, mineral oil, caprylic / caprice Triglyceride, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Bees wax and many more. So sound pretty decently safe to me. And in the photo above, you cam see that it states that its made in korea at the bottom of the bottle.

Well, when i took it out, its looks similar to any other lip gloss with the brush tip at the end. But what I'm more curious about is that why is is white? Like, would my lips be covered in white lipgloss? would it just shine my lips? Well, my friend, it does more than just that! It actually changes colour once applied. Its similar to a stain which would last for about 6 hours in my case, since i tend to eat and drink a lot. (also the habit of wiping my lips with tissue) And its still there. I love how natural the colour is.

And how it works? well, Im assuming that the colour changes depending on your temperature. Where the warmer your body temperature is, the more pinkish you lip colour will be. Here's a photo of the before and after of the Shinzen's lip tattoo when applied.

As you can see, the colour just changes into a more  darker natural pink where it doesn't leave your lips looking pale. I loved the minute i swiped it on my lips and it instantly changed into a natural pink tone on my lips.

The after application changed my lip tone to be more balanced and even within less than a minute. From uneven lips to even lips. How cool is that? I like the natural touch to it as it doesn't 'over do it' with the whole colour, leaving it looking more natural and sheer. If you're wondering, you can get this at any Shinzens store at the price of RM168 for 8ml in Malaysia.

In conclusion, after one whole day of using it, i realise that my lips don't dry off like other lipsticks would make it dry as i have sensitive skin. It actually keeps my lips moisturises too. Sorry lipsticks, i might be sticking to this for now. Im not exactly a make up geek, but when it comes to looking naturally beautiful, I'm down for that.

Well, thats all for now. Do tell me about your adventures of finding the right lipgloss for yourself. This lip tattoo will definitely be following me around for now. ;)

Tata for now loves,
Sara
