|5-day detox programme with USANA|
As im turning a year older this year, I realize that my body doesn’t feel as young as it used to felt. Whatever I consume felt like it was affecting how my body works, and that’s when I needed to find a solution to fix that problem. I introduced to USANA to reset my body by Chantel Liew, as a detox supplement. USANA is actually an alternative way to detox your body by removing the acids and unwanted chemicals from your body by going through a 5 day program with meal replacers. So let me bring you through my 5 day journey!

Personally at first, it felt like a tough journey to be skipping most of the meals that I like eating most, which includes chicken, beef, fish, rice and more as I was only allowed to consume fruits or vegetables as snacks during the 5 day period. But just because I felt like my body was crying for help, I decided to sacrifice the yummy meals by taking up the challenge to cleanse my body. I was given 2 packs of nutrimeals, and a pack of fibergy plus which I will further explain it as we go through my post.

The procedure is pretty simple! The nutrimeal is a low glycemic meal replacement drink for a healthy weight management. Containing all the ingredients that you need in a day, you are not required to eat anything else for the next 5 days, unless you want to gain weight.

Each pack of nutrimeal comes with a convenient scooper for you to accurately scoop the right amount of the powder. Each serving of nutrimeal needs 3 scoops per serving and all you need to do would be to add water to complete your meal. I was told that a pack of the nutrimeal would easily last you up to 9 servings.

Its generally up to you if you would want to use warm water, or room temperature water. But in my case, I naturally prefer to add room temperature water first then add ice into it cause I prefer drinking cold water. Hehe. If you want something different, you can also blend the mix with fruits in a blender or maybe consume it with muesli or oats too! But since I was lacking on time, I decided to go the old fashion way by drinking it.

For breakfast, I took the Dutch chocolate Nutrimeal each morning and for lunch, I took the French Vanilla for 5 days continuously. For dinner, I occasionally took either Nutrimeal flavors, but I went for fruit and salad’s instead since I didn’t feel hungry. Taste wise between the Dutch chocolate and the French Vanilla, I preferred the French Vanilla flavor cause its easier to swallow compared to the Dutch chocolate. Dutch chocolate wasn’t bad, but to my taste buds, it tasted like melted chocolate ice-cream with a very rich texture.

Not to forget the Fibergy Plus, it’s a low calorie flavorless fiber blend that can be added to juice or USANA’s nutrimeal which contains 10 grams of dietary fiber per serving (1 spoon). I only managed to try this for only 3 days out of the 5 on alternative days. Its not exactly to my liking cause it makes the drink taste thicker, and I don’t usually take in odd taste really well, it was slightly tough to get it through my throat. But on a plus side, it helps you to poop better in the toilet. hehe

Since it claims that the 5 day reset program will be able to lose weights, curb huggers and also breaking poor nutritional habits, I can actually say that its true! After completing my 5 day reset program, I realized that some food that I usually like tasted saltier than usual, and soft drinks are just too sweet for me to take in. My body felt extremely lighter after the 5 days and I even lost an extra 1.5kg! It definitely makes your body feel great and younger by removing the toxins away.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITHIN THE 5 DAYS
It would be a struggle to adjust to the new diet on the first 2 days. On the 3rd day, you will start feeling slightly bloated and you may experience like you need to poop (which is a good thing since its removing all the dirt from your body). On the 4th and 5th day, I felt that my tummy went flatter, and felt less bloated than before. And after the 5 days, you will realize that your taste buds definitely changed to prefer a more healthier option in food.
TIPS FOR THE 5 DAYS RESET
I highly recommend you to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday when going through the 5 day program since the meal replacers would work better when you drink more water. Try not to do strenuous exercise or heavy athletic workouts since youre not on a protein diet, it may make you feel even more tired instead. And be sure to walk at least 20-30 minutes a day to make sure your body absorbs the nutrimeal.
I also received a tube of Proflavanol which provides powerful antioxidant combination of high quality grape seed bioflavonoids and a proprietary vitamin C content. This is a great detox supplement which I consume 2 pills for breakfast and 2 pill for dinner.

And there you have it! I can proudly say I lost at least 1.5kg during the 5 day program and on top of that, I felt so much more lighter which was initially my reason of taking this program. The experience was fun and challenging if you asked me, but if youre thinking to start fresh, USANA is a great supplement for you to think about.
