5 New K-Variety Shows Are Coming To Disney+ Hotstar

If you’ve been bingeing K-dramas, drooling over K-food reels, and casually adding Korean phrases to your vocabulary (don’t lie, I see you), then brace yourself – because your screen time’s about to level up.

Starting August 22, Disney+ Hotstar is serving five brand-new Korean variety shows – one for almost every day of the week – packed with laughs, love, food, fitness, and even a peek into celebrities’ quirks you never knew you needed. And the best part? Each episode is a snappy 25 minutes, so you can easily squeeze it in between your coffee break and your next scroll session.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

Fridays – Anchovy Physical Camp (Aug 22)

Think fitness camp… but for people who are comically bad at sports. Watch some of Korea’s least athletic celebs give their all (and their dignity) in a series of hilarious challenges. Spoiler: you’ll be laughing more than they’ll be sweating.

Saturdays – 60 Minutes to Love (Aug 23)

Running Man’s Ji Yeeun is on a mission – find “the one” through 60-minute speed dates. Across 20 episodes, she’ll meet all kinds of personalities, from awkwardly shy to over-the-top charming. Will she walk away with a soulmate or just 20 great dinner stories?

Sundays – Belly Showdown (Aug 24)

Six big personalities, one epic food challenge, and zero shame in eating way past full. This is comfort-watching at its finest – and yes, you might want to have snacks ready.

Mondays – YOO Got a Minute? (Aug 25)

This one’s a two-parter! For the first 10 weeks, Yoo Byungjae digs into celebs’ wildest, most unnecessary purchases in You Bought What?!. Then, things get even more ridiculous in The Quiet Interview, where the only rule is: don’t laugh… or the interview’s over. (Spoiler: they almost always laugh.)

Tuesdays – Chef’s Go-To (Aug 26)

Follow Korea’s most beloved chefs into hidden back alleys and off-the-map eateries for their favorite secret bites. It’s like a foodie treasure hunt, but with Michelin-level tour guides.

And yes, all five shows are running until the end of the year – so your K-content calendar is officially booked.

If 2025 has already spoiled us with hits like Nine Puzzles, Hyper Knife, and Low Life, then these new variety shows are the perfect cherry on top.

📅 Mark your calendar: starting August 22, grab your snacks, find your comfiest spot, and get your daily K-variety fix on Disney+ Hotstar.

Pos Malaysia’s ‘Jom Laju For Fun!’ Returns with Almost RM10,000 Cash Prizes and New Corporate Relay Category

If you joined the Pos Malaysia Run last year, you’ll remember the buzz, 3,500 runners, a sea of energy, and a whole lot of smiles. Well, the good news is… it’s back! This year’s Pos Malaysia Run 2025 promises to be even bigger, better, and greener, with the tagline “Jom Laju For Fun!” perfectly capturing the spirit of the event. It’s more than just a run — it’s a chance to get moving with friends, family, and even your colleagues, while supporting sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives.

Happening on Saturday, 22 November 2025 at the iconic Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur — the very place where Malaysia’s independence was declared in 1957 — the event offers a mix of competitive races and fun runs for all ages and fitness levels. This year, there’s an exciting new addition: the 10km Corporate Relay Run (5km x 2pax), designed to encourage teamwork and corporate wellness. And if you need a little extra motivation, there’s almost RM10,000 in cash prizes waiting to be won across various competitive categories.

The 10km race categories include Men Open (16–44 years), Women Open (16–44 years), Men Veteran (45+), Women Veteran (35+), and the Corporate Relay Run (16+). For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, the 5.8km Fun Run is open to participants aged 5 and above, with options for individual runners or groups of four. Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal best or simply out for a good time with friends, there’s something here for everyone.

Registration is now open at RaceXAsia and will close on 19 October 2025. The standard fee is RM75 for the 10km category and RM65 for the 5.8km category. But here’s a tip — sign up before 31 July 2025 to enjoy early bird pricing (RM65 for 10km and RM55 for 5.8km). Every participant will receive a finisher medal, an e-certificate, a drawstring bag with a running tee and sponsor goodies, and personal accident insurance coverage. Even better, the finisher medals are made from recycled materials, keeping in line with the event’s green commitment.

One of the coolest features of this year’s run is how Pos Malaysia is integrating sustainability into every step. Instead of traditional race pack collections, your race pack will be delivered directly to your doorstep via Pos Malaysia’s electric vans and bikes — reducing travel emissions and making the process a whole lot easier. On race day, electric bikes will also be used for operational support, proving that going green can be both practical and impactful.

Beyond the run itself, hosting the event at Stadium Merdeka gives it a unique sense of pride and purpose. It’s not just about crossing the finish line — it’s about celebrating unity, heritage, and progress, all while promoting healthy living and environmental responsibility.
\
For companies looking to get involved, Pos Malaysia is offering various partnership packages ranging from RM20,000 to RM100,000, along with options for in-kind contributions. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a meaningful community event that blends wellness, sustainability, and heritage.

So whether you’re running for the thrill, the teamwork, the medal, or simply the joy of being part of something positive, the Pos Malaysia Run 2025 is shaping up to be an event you won’t want to miss. Lace up, sign up, and let’s make this year’s run one for the books!

NakNak Turns Up the Heat with the Bold Bulgogi Series – Plus Curly Fries & a Dreamy Pistachio Shake

If there’s one thing NakNak always gets right, it’s making every bite count. And now, Malaysia’s favourite homegrown Korean-inspired QSR is taking things up a notch with their Bold Bulgogi Series, think juicy burgers, comeback curly fries, and a pistachio shake so creamy you’ll want to hug it.
Meet the Bold Bulgogi Burgers

For a limited time only, NakNak is serving two mouthwatering burgers that basically taste like a holiday in Seoul.

Grilled Beef Bulgogi Burger (from RM23.90), Juicy beef patties stacked with crisp lettuce, red onions, creamy bulgogi mayo, and a glorious drizzle of NakNak’s sweet-savoury bulgogi sauce, all hugged by a fluffy bun.

Crispy Fried Chicken Bulgogi Burger (from RM19.90), Same bold toppings, but with a golden-crunch chicken fillet for extra “ooooh” in every bite.

Both are loaded, messy (in the best way), and unapologetically flavour-packed, just how NakNak likes it.
Curly Fries Make Their Glorious Comeback

You asked. They listened. NakNak’s iconic curly fries are finally back, and better. Choose from:

Original Golden (from RM12.50), classic, crispy perfection.

Seaweed (from RM14.90), your go-to curly fries, but with a sprinkle of umami magic.

Warning: these disappear fast… from the table and the menu.
The Pistachio Shake You’ll Daydream About

New to the regular menu (yes, it’s here to stay!) is NakNak’s Pistachio Shake (from RM19.90). Made with 100% pure pistachio paste, it’s thick, nutty, creamy, and straight-up dessert goals, especially if you’re a fan of Korean café drinks.

📅 Available now across all NakNak outlets for dine-in and takeaway. Limited-time burgers & curly fries, forever-worthy pistachio shake.
Because at NakNak, flavour isn’t just on the plate – it’s an experience.
