[REVIEW] Bonnisan by Himalaya | Natural Remedy for Digestive Problems for Infants and Children

Being a mother of two, it can be a struggle to deal with their discomfort, especially when it relates back to the digestive discomfort and gas in the stomach.  I would say that the biggest struggle is that in younger children, they struggle to describe the discomfort that they face, which usually would either be colic and gas or when having digestive problems. While exploring some options to resolve this issue, i found myself exploring Himalaya's Bonnisan as a natural supplement for kids that targets to solve discomfort relating to digestive problems.

Benefits of Bonnisan

Some of the benefits of Bonnisan that caught my attention is that it helps to promote healthy growth. For me with 2 kids, it's pretty convenient when it comes to usage to be suitable for both infants and toddlers as well. It enhances and improves appetite while relieving colic and gas in the stomach in which most younger kids would struggle with. With a 4 month baby in hand, I do notice that it helps to reduce prolonged and intense crying too, which my biggest suspect was that he is struggling with colic issues. This also means, the Bonnisan definitely did solve my problem for my poor baby.

In terms of treatments, other than acting as a colic discomfort remedy, it also can be used as a treatment of common digestive problems in both infants and children. With a toddler who is pretty picky when it comes to eating, I would say that the Bonnisan pretty much improved her appetite as well. Most importantly, I admire that the key ingredients that make this a great health supplement for kids would be that it relies on natural resources namely, dill oil, cardamom, and Indian long pepper which helps to relieve colic and gas in infants and children, giving them a better-lined stomach to ensure that they would not have to suffer from the discomfort. 

Dosage

My little son is currently 4 months, so I usually give him 1 teaspoon, three times daily, and that is enough to keep my little bub happy daily. Meanwhile, for my 2-year-old daughter, I would give her 2 teaspoons, three times daily. I guess the worry I had was to get her to enjoy this, but surprisingly she accepted the flavor as it's not that strong and pretty much gives a little tickle on her tongue to explore the flavor. Other than that, below would be the recommended dosage otherwise: 

infant (up to 1 month) : half teaspoon, three times daily

baby (1 month to 6 months) : 1 teaspoon, three times daily

children (6 months to 3 years) : 2 teaspoons, three times daily

Verdict

As a verdict of my overall experience of giving this as a health supplement, I would definitely say that I see a difference in my kid's behavior. They're pretty much happier, and my little 4 months baby wouldn't cry even when he tries to burp. I guess Bonnisan did the trick and I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are new parents to get this as a health supplement for their kids. Most importantly, it's a natural remedy containing no chemicals that would harm the little ones.

Crystal Skin Review | Botanical Beverage Tomato Crystal with Collagen & Habbatus Sauda

Turning 30 means I need to take more supplements to ensure that my body has all the nutrients it needs to stay young and active. I know there is a term where people say 'age is just a number' or 'choose to stay young at heart', but let's be honest here, those are mental thoughts of youth. The body needs to be taken care of as well if you're looking to retain your youth. I would like to believe that my youthful features are from genetics, but truth be told, no one is going to take care of yourself better than you. This is where Crystal Skin comes in.

Crystal skin contains 6 power ingredients which would be Tomato Crystals, Vitamin C, Blackcurrant Juice,  Grape Extracts, Collagen, and Habbatus Sauda. The secret ingredient of Crystal Skin would be the Tomato Crystal which provides anti-oxidants while reducing blackheads and protecting the skin from harsh UV rays. As we all know, UV rays are one of the causes of aging, making them a super ingredient combination to protect the skin from within. 

With a combination of Vitamin C, Blackcurrant Juice,  Grape Extracts, and Collagen, these ingredients are a combination to protect the cells and boost the skin's immunity as it has a strong combination of anti-oxidants which allows killing bacteria and helps in healing any scars or bruises as well.  Collagen is also on the list of ingredients making it a great source of collagen for the skin to achieve bouncy and less wrinkly skin.

 Habbatus Sauda, or also known as Black Seed or Fennel Flower, is an antiseptic in nature and is great for oily and acne-prone skin types to remove dirt and bacteria that often cause oil build-up and breakouts on the skin. Containing a strong source of Vitamin A, C, and E, this combination is great to reduce the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles. Historically, this ingredient is also very popular among Muslims being the key reason that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) once stated that the black seed can help heal any diseases. 

With that being said, it's hard to resist the temptation in getting this for your own am I right? Each box contains 15 sachets and personally, I love individually packed supplements considering it reduces the risk of contamination. The texture of the product comes in a pinkish powdery form and all you need to do to prepare your supplement would be to mix 1 sachet with 150ml of water and it would be best to consume before breakfast. I surprisingly enjoyed the fact that it tastes like blackcurrant juice, making it enjoyable to consume as well. 

Personal Experience Review

As a personal experience review, after only a week of consumption, I noticed that my pores are less clogged and it does have a glowy appearance over my skin. Initially, before consuming this, I was experiencing small bumps which were about to turn into acne, but with daily consumption, it reduced and my skin surface is so much smoother than before. Not to forget the scars that I had from the previous acne, it did a great job in making it appear lighter than before. I noticed this because usually acne scars would take a while to lighten and fade, but consumption of the Crystal Skin Supplement, it speeds up the healing process of the skin. Definitely impressed!

Verdict

As a verdict, I would say that it's a great supplement to include into your daily routine and for the price of RM89 for a box of 15 sachets, making it RM5.93 a glass, I would say it is pretty decent of a price to splurge on something that works. If you check out their website, there's TONS of feedback by actual consumers, and being one of the consumers as well, I have to agree that it does give my skin that glow despite not having massive skin issues. If you're like me, you can consume this supplement on alternate days as maintenance for the skin.

Septilin in general is effective for those who are having sore throat, cough and flu. So, when youre feeling like youre having a sore throat, cough or flu, this is what you'll need. The Tabs come in table form which helps to build body's defence mechanism. It will acute chronic and recurrent infections which makes it a great product to have at home. The syrup on the other hand has the same purpose as the tabs. Honestly, the ingredients for both of these are the same, so if youre not a fan of syrup, the tabs is an easier option that minuses out the after taste that syrup would usually leave in your mouth. Or, for the little ones, tabs may be a little hard to swallow, so the syrup is a great alternative. 

Koflet Lozenges 10's (RM10.50)

Koflet Lozenges is specially formulated for those suffering from dry cough. The key ingredients in this would be long pepper, ginger, black pepper and clove, which basically will give a spicy herbal minty flavour to help treat dry cough. I actually brought this around with me, and its pleasingly nice around the throat when it feels a little chesty. You can enjoy this when your throat is feeling a little dry, but if youre suffering from heavy cough, then it would be advisable to take this 3 to 4 times daily to relief throat irritations and cough. Alternatively, if youre looking for a mouth cleanser, this keeps your mouth and breath fresh as well. 

Cold Relief Balm (RM10)

And last but not least would be the Cold Relief Balm. I feel that this is my favourite product among the rest of my immunity kit options. Containing only herbal ingredients, Mentha arvensis, cinnamomum, and eucalyptus, this is used to relief cold and blocked nose (which i suffer on a weekly basis, especially at night). With this balm, the purpose of this is to clear congested and blocked nasal passages which i feel that it works really well for me. All i need to do is apply this on my nose and throat, and a few moments later, my blocked nose is cleared! Alternatively, this can also be used to relieve headaches associated with flu, cold and sinusitis.

As a verdict, i would definitely suggest you to get these items to be ready at home. The good thing about Himalaya Malaysia products would be that they are 100% herbal formulated, which also means this has minimal side effects in the long run in comparison to modern medicine. Hey guys! Being health conscious about my lifestyle, I’d always like to share new information that I find from talks that I attend to help everyone else live a healthier happier life. I’m not saying being Obese makes you unhappy, but the causes of it may be crucial especially when it affects your health in the long run. So its always better to be aware about it sooner than to regret about it later. Present during the talk, we had Rahim Sepatu, a popular comedian in Malaysia who shared his experience going through the procedure and to our surprise, he really lost tons of weight! 31KG's to be exact within the past few months. I've seen him on TV before and now seeing him in person, i was pretty impressed that he looks so much healthier and energetic. He shared to attendees that he was worried about his health and started seeking for solutions that were more permanent to help him improve his health condition in order to live a longer healthier life for his family.
