Reviewing the Althea Petal Velvet Powder

Being a K-beauty fan myself, I am A HUGE FAN of Althea Korea, not because I'm being biased, but thanks to Althea Korea, I am not required to travel to Korea in order to restock my K beauty products at home. Other than K-beauty, Althea also is a platform to me to discover new Korean products that are less known to the country, with equivalent quality to bigger brands. If you have been following me on Instagram, you might realize that I recently announced a secret product launched by Althea Korea (LIKE OMG FINALLY THEIR OWN BRAND!) Thus, in today's review, I'll be talking to you about the Althea Petal Velvet Powder.

Althea being filled with a team of K-beauty experts, I have no doubt that the product would be as good as the products that they sell in stores. Being its first product being available online, I think it's a great start that they came up with the Petal Velvet Powder. This is actually a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves behind a silky finish to the touch. I've tested it myself and I can't deny that I'm in love. I'm very particular about fine details, and I admire the exclusiveness of the packaging that comes sealed with an expiry date. YAS!

Testing around with the product

I'm a regular translucent powder user and let me get the facts straight on what makes this Petal Velvet Powder different from the rest. Other than it comes in a super cute compact packaging, it's actually infused with oil from Althea seeds (Actual Althea flower gais), and it works to minimize sebum production without leaving your skin looking too dry. In case you're wondering, the texture of the powder is extremely light and the results are really satisfying! Each pack comes in a 3g compact packaging at an affordable price of RM16 only! #jawsdropped

As you can see, I've already applied make up in my review and since this sets makeup, to use this is as easy as one, two, three!  With this Althea baby, it really enhances your makeup and it's the perfect final touch to complete your look. Upon applying this, there is no doubt that the therapeutic scent would surprise you making you wish that the scent stays with you forever. I don't know about you, but this actually made my mornings even better, especially before going to work.

Up close, I noticed that after applying the Althea Petal Velvet Powder, it actually made my pores less visible, makes my make up last longer, and it gives my skin a silky fresh look! This little compact is currently in my must have things in my bag and with a few puffs, I'm shine-free! As a verdict, I really adore this product as I have oily combination skin, and this suited my skin perfectly without making my skin looking too dry. YAY! Since it only comes in translucent, I believe that it has been made to suit almost any skin tone so it should be a problem for anyone, or any skin shade to use this. MAJOR LOVE!

Beauty addicts, its time to celebrate! I actually got to know that they're launching in April about 2 months back and now I can share with you a new HALAL Beauty Store. Pretty Suci just recently launched on the 30th of March 2017, and just after 5 days from the launch, some products were already SOLD OUT. That's pretty insane, but i don't see any reason why it shouldn't be sold out *wink*. Even i'm a little late by a few days to start purchasing the things that i want. Its a curse of being a beauty addict. OMG! Not that i emphasize too much on making sure that the products that i use are Halal, but just thinking about the word Halal in a Beauty Product brings so much meaning to it. From the thoughts of how its made, and to the appropriate pricing that ensures that whatever we spend on is considered Halal. #lessworries

Its insanely exciting to know that they're now in business and after browsing through the site, i see that they feature makeup, skincare, hair, nails, Bath & Body, Baby& Mama, Tools and even personal care. Being a blogger myself, i love seeing new products in the market, and i believe that the Pretty Suci platform is doing justice for independent products who are qualified to be featured in the Pretty Suci, Halal Beauty Online Store. It also saves you the time to determine whether the products are reliable, and of course, when everything you want is shipped together in one parcel by Pretty Suci, it just makes your Halal Beauty shopping even more convenient!

Would you believe that Pretty Suci also features their very own in-house brand as well? I know, insane! And guess what? I even got hold onto two of their shades featuring Minah Jambu and Cek Mek Molek (Super cute names I have to say). The site actually had a little description of the products to explain that these lip creams produces matte velvety finishes, which emphasizes on non-drying formula and are halal certified in terms of ingredients and manufacturer. SWEET

Here are some swatches of both the shades where Minah Jambu features a berry hue shade while the Cek Mek Molek is more of a nude-ish pink tone. I also noticed that this lip cream has a hint of a vanilla which makes the shade even yummier than the names given. Hehe. I have to give extra points to the texture for being super irresistible and it's indeed very comfortable on my lips to last me the entire day. Don't get me started on talking about the packaging, just exclusive luxury.

VERDICT

As a verdict, I would have to say that the products featured on the site have a reasonable variety to cater different price ranges. I really do hope that they feature more products in the coming future, ESPECIALLY on their Pretty Suci Lip Creams. Pretty Suci team, if you're reading this, PLEASE ADD MORE SHADES TO THE COLLECTION! I'm really loving the texture of it as it doesn't dry my lips. Other than that, I'm actually keeping my eyes on brands like Make Over, So.Lek, Wardah, Marcella & Co and so much more amazing brands that I'm surprised are priced at really reasonable prices. This honestly might be my new go-to store and I'm seeing a lot of potential on PrettySuci.com. YES! [BEAUTY] Watsons WATER360's new look!

We all know that Watson's has been known as Asia's leading health and beauty retailer launched its most successful own skincare brand range presenting with its new revamped look. WATER360 was introduced to me in early 2016, and I found it exciting to find out that they gave the WATER360 a brand new look. To celebrate the occasion, we had top singing duo sensation, FS who collaborated with the brand with the release of its latest single. The new look of WATER360 by Watsons is helmed by its three sources of mineral water, six types of minerals and zero mineral oil to complete the upgraded range.

It was a truly exciting occasion to watch the singing duo, FS who sang their latest single 'You Ni Zhen Hao' which the music video was shot in collaboration with WATER360 by Watsons. Since the release of the music video was shot in collaboration with WATER360 by Watsons. I've attached the video above for your convenience too! Since the release of the music video on social media, it has reached more than 600,000 views. Both FS also sang a jingle for WATER360 by Watsons which also now enjoys heavy airplay on leading national radio stations.

But among everything, we even had a product experience session where we were given a chance to try the product out. The new WATE360 by Watsons with mineral spring water-lock soothing and hydrating aqua face system combines the three sources of mineral water to refresh and moisturise the skin. While the six types of minerals including zinc, sodium, iron, calcium, magnesium and silicon which helps to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin.

I've been a loyal fan of Kosé and still currently a huge fan of Kosé because it works really well with my skin. I was honored to be a part of the KOSÉ AEON Midvalley Re-opening Party earlier this week with fellow blogger friends, and i cant wait to share the HUGE surprise with you guys. My favourite range on display

The KOSÉ AEON Midvalley counter follows a minimalist concept with monochrome colours featuring black and white which i found rather interesting.
