Who's ready for some slide action?

With this blog post, I'm happy to announce that the Slide the City Malaysia is back in action and has officially launched their month long Slip n Slide event! It will be happening from the 30th September to 29th October 2017, every weekend on Fridays (5pm-12am), Saturdays and Sundays (9am-12am) at Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam.

Slide the City has been a global phenomenon that brings a gigantic slip n slide to major cities such as the United States, Columbia, Canda, United Kingdom, Korea, Japan, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan and more! Flashing back, its thanks to Monkey Theory Sdn Bhd for bringing the iconic slide to Malaysia in December 2015.

Throughout its early adventures in Malaysia, they heard you and instead of having it over one weekend, they've made it be a month long event! Everyone will be given the opportunity to experience the slide at least once in their lives. So guys, start stocking up your sunscreens, and grab your best summer outfit to slide your soul out!

This year is definitely bigger and better where it would be a carnival like atmosphere that you wouldn't want to miss. A portion of the sales proceeds will be channeled towards the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia in support of patients suffering from kidney disease. And with this event happening this year, Slide the City malaysia also aims to raise awareness of obesity, and would like to encourage a healthy lifestyle in a fun and engaging event that the whole family an participate. YAY!

So get ready to get wet!

Other than the premium slide excitement, the event will also feature live music, and carnival games such as the Rodeo Bull, Dunking game, Bungee Run, and Gladiator Joust. Don't worry about food as there will be many food offerings of over 15 food trucks to fill your tummy up. The slide length would be about 420 feet long and 25 feet in height, so be prepared to slide your way to the Slide the City event.

Just about a week ago, I attended the Miss & Mrs. Prestige International Pageant 2017 Press Conference and I can't believe my eyes that I'm actually seeing beauty queens right in front of my eyes. The grand ceremony of "Miss & Mrs. World Prestige International Pageant 2017" has aimed to be on par with world-class Paris Fashion beauty industry ceremony. WPI was more than glad to announce that Gauraro Joaillerieis as Miss & Mrs. World Prestige International Pageant 2017's main diamond sponsor.

The Miss & Mrs Prestige International Pageant 2017 this year was covered under the theme of "The Beauty of Great Love" to make this world a better place. She felt glad to be part of World Prestige International. She had learned and developed so much during the journey to be Beauty Pageant. To adapt the theme of “Dare To dream Create A Wonderful Journey Of Life ”, Our Mrs. World Prestige International Ambassadors added, “World Prestige International is an idea organization who had complete pageant sources and well managed to compile each beauty pageant to be success pathway on leading industry with great potential.The platform can efficiently train local female with talent brought out their professional globally.”

At times I do wonder what are the challneges of being a beauty queen. And after being at the launch, I must say that it takes more than just beauty to be able to wear the crown. You must have confidence, skills, talent, brains and also the ability to set a good example to society. I have to say that im impressed with the current candidates that have made it to the finals in 2016, and I really look forward to the upcoming candidates. Looking for an event space in Shah Alam, here's a new place that just recently launched in 2017! If you're looking for an event space that provides 3 floors to host your event, well you came to the right post. I was honored to be invited to the launching ceremony which was launched by YDG Dato Haji Emran Bin Haji Kadir Dato Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Petaling Orang Besar Daerah Petaling, where we had a bridal bed exhibition, a fashion show, singers by up-coming artist, and members of the media who attended.

Since I was present at the launch of De'Laman, might as well share some info's for you guys to read up. De'Laman is a 3 story building that's located in iparc 3 Bukit Jelutong and it can be an event space for all kinds of events, namely weddings, Akad nikah, anniversaries, fashion shows, parties, seminars and more! But of course, in general, if you're looking for a more affordable alternative rather than spending on expensive hotels for a small hall, De'Laman is an event space that you can consider.

I was surprised to see that the hall could actually host a fashion show too! During the launch, we had Bon Zainal and Dicky Ishak who came all the way from Singapore to host their fashionable collections. It's amazing how creative you can play around with the spaces at De'Laman where in my mind I think it would be a great place to host an event such as a bridal shower or a baby shower (i mean, why not?). The event was also had a bridal bed set up with a bride and groom walking through the red carpet on the same day itself. I'm amazed that the organizers even considered adding this into the agenda to help attendees visualize if an event would take place at the one and only De'Laman. The space started its operations in December last year and has approximately 6500 square feet of space making it extremely new. I would also emphasize that it's located in an ideal location as it's very easy to find, strategic with parking lots available.

I'm sure you must be wondering what would the upper levels be used for since its a 3 story building. I managed to check the space out and I was told that the extra space can actually be used for the caterer's, a surau, a resting space, hidden PA System space, a projector, a additional hall with air condition, and more! Not to forget that the outer hall space is wide enough to also host an event too. It's really up to your creativity and the amount of guest you'll be expecting.

So if you're looking for an event space for a wedding, well good news cause they provide you with convenient packages that are super affordable and with multiple budgets to suit your needs. The packages listed below are for at least 1000 pax and on top of that are inclusive of an FOC Wedding Cake, Make-up services, 600 units of Moist cake and a Queen Size Bed entirely FREE! So I would definitely say that the packages are worth every cent. There are 4 packages available, so its really up to you if you want to splurge on more options. The packages available at the moment would be starting from RM35 per pax to RM75 per pax which really depends to the person renting the event space. The pricing includes the food spread of your choice, bridal set, bridal and groom outfit, decorations, tables, chairs, VIP Dome, Buffet station, photography, videography, tent rental, even planner, air conditioned hall, service staff, additional tables, parking space, surau, red carpet, and more! The additional pricing would be splurged more on digital services such as 32ft crane videos, number of cameras, belt headset, and basically additional equipment.

Christmas is definitely in the air this holiday season at 1 Utama from 28th November to 25th December 2016. And without fail, amazing me with their Christmassy decorations in so many ways. This year, 1 Utama transformed into a whimsical breath taking poinsettia floral garden that will make any girl feel like she in a fairytale. Stroll through the larger than life poinsettia and gaze at the stunning christmas lights while you feel like tinker bell within the ground floor centre court. I was also admiring the colourful display of decorations and designs which hypes up the seasonal cheer.

From the 7th till the 31st of October, Nights of Fright 4 (NOF4) will bring visitors face to face with their fears as local urban legends, Hollywood horror icons, and modern ghost stories are brought to life.

This year, Asia's Best Attraction has included fright, fear, and fun through only the best horror themes surroundings manifested to present a ghastly den of eight haunted houses, six scare zones and 11 after-dark amusement rides. And let's face it, theme parks at night can be a little scary, it makes it worst when you see horror legends walking around trying to slaughter you as you walk pass by them.

While you're there, you can keep a lookout for AH WINGS BUTCHER SHOP, the TANAH PERKUBURAN BUKIT LANG as you hear screams of the tortured souls and other horrifying zones which includes THE LONDON FOG, KEVIN HILL TOWNSHIP, THE ZOMBIE WALK and THE CLOWN COLLECTIVE. I have to say that the clowns were rather horrifying as they were not at all funny up close.

For doses of fun in between scares and scream, you can hop on their rides in a once in a year "after-dark" setting. Buckle up and take on favorites with a darker twist on your favorites as you keep yourself away from the ghost and monsters wandering through the theme park. I'm happy to see that they had a new list of horrifying attractions that are inspired by a combination of popular Asian and international folklores that will send chills down your spine.

Nights Of Fright 4 comes to life at 7.30pm to 11.30pm every Friday to Sunday from 7th to 30th October including 31st October 2016. Tickets are priced at RM58 (normal price), RM 50 (student price) with exclusive promotions such as RM120 (one admission Sunway Lagoon pass & one NOF4 ticket) and a Buy 2 for RM80 (entry dates only on Sundays).
