So, were you at the #CMHAIRPARTY? If you weren't there, heres a sneak peek of what happened! From the banner itself, it went for 5 hours straight of some fun and fabulously treat for attendees after taking the personality test. If you would like to find out whats your coffee look, you can give yourself a go by heading over to this link here: http://bit.ly/1NhU2ni‪#‎WhatCoffeeLookAreYou‬

My result.
And each personality has their own blend of coffee.
My result was that i got the Caffeine Explorer Coffee Look where i was surprised with a caramel macchiato! Yummms. I heard alot of people who got 'who cares coffee look' got a really strong expresso which was just way to bitter, and of course, thats what you get when you dont care about your coffee ;) Im thankful to be getting the Caremel macchiato. *loves*

Blogger Bowie getting her scalp checked.
At the party, we had a free scalp check to see how our scalp is doing and also with great hair consultants present, they were nice enough to recommend what kind of shampoo is to be used which would suit your current scalp condition. Since the party was organised by C.Michael, did you also know that they have their own brand of haircare too?

Their variety of scalp care shampoo.
The professional range of C.MICHAEL shampoos.
They even have serums too!

Whats so special about their haircare products would be that they use a special ingredient extracted from apples. We all know that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but now we know that it keeps your hair intact and healthy too! With a wide variety of shampoo to suit your needs, its no wonder that C.Michael is in the Top 10 Spa's and Beauty Services around KL & Bangsar. You can refer to the article posted here : http://top10around.com/top-10-spas-beauty-services-in-kl-sentral-bangsar/

Beautiful blogger Elana getting her hair done at the event.
From free hairdo's and free makeovers to make sure you're well pampered at the event, all i can say that C.Michael really knows how to create an impact. So thanks C.Michael for having me at the party and also for a salon voucher worth RM50 to get my hair pampered at your salon. Never been there myself, and im looking forward to pay a visit soon.

Cosans yummy desserts.
What a coffee look party without the coffee?
Attendees enjoyed amazing coffee to yummy desserts, at the event while browsing for their next shampoo range to be used. PSSST! Im aware that C.Michael usually would throw random parties, so be sure you like their facebook page to keep yourself updated for the next one.

Not to worry as there are more parties to look forward to guys! For more updates on C.Michael, be sure to like their facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/cmichael.co.uk?fref=ts . Thanks for reading.

Topman Tookover Friday Night

I apologise if i was spamming too much photos at last nights party but yes, with Paperplane Pursuit, Janechuck and Hypeebeats at the party, it was a BLAST! Loved the fact that everyone was dressed amazing and it was like a laid back Friday night to enjoy amazing music and company. There were drinks served on the house and entertainment under the stars. What better way would you want to spend friday night right?

Here are a few shots at the event which looked like photos that you always see on tumblr. HAHA. and yes, the setting was lovely. I would like to wish the team a good job for the pretty deco.  We also had some Photo Booth fun where there were people lining up to get their memories recorded. Thank god i managed to get mine, both thanks to Fliplet and WowBooth for being a part of this take over.

The Fliplet was the interesting one! If you've checked out my instagram, theres a video of my flirty fliplet and i found it super adorable. The things people come up these days are amazing! Topman had Smirnoff and their signature cocktails served at the event, and it was everywhere. Im not a fan of drinking so i didn't consume any. But they also had soft drinks which was very considerate of them to provide for the non-drinkers. THANK YOU TOPMAN!

Here are photos of Paperplane Pursuit and Janechuck at the stage doing their thang to hype up the party. Thanks for starting the party for us. Didn't managed to get a photo of Hypeebeat, cause well, with them on the DJset, who has time to take photos! The party was a success and i was praying really hard that it wouldn't rain, and it didn't! Met some familiar faces along the way and that was unexpected, but thats always one of the nicest surprises to get at an event.

Before i end my post, i would like to thank TOPMAN and the team for having me on board at the party. It was an amazing party you threw and I'm looking forward for more 'parties' in the future. Don't forget to count me in and i don't think anyone would want to miss their throw bash. Much Love! Some photos of me loves, the amazing Denver for his enthusiasm which i love and also Carolyn my long gone and finally back from US bestie. It was nice seeing everyone else there too, but i didn't exactly managed to take photos with y'all.

Some goodies that were given from Topman. Thank you for the recycling bag and lanyard! There always come in handy especially when you don't have enough hands when you're shopping. Teehee. For more updates on their next events, do not forget to head over to their official Facebook page, their official website or their instagram to stay updated with what they have in for their loyal customers.

My baking experience at19 Culinary, Jalan Dungun.

When it comes to baking, its always the outcome is exciting. Have you ever felt like baking something, but too afraid of it might not turn out how you want it to be? Well, this post will tell you all about guidance and well, the existence of at19 Culinary in Malaysia.

*Drum rolls*

Presenting to you, at19 Culinary in Jalan Dungun. Whether you choose to attend cooking classes as a hobby or spend your free time differently with friends, or  improving your cooking skills, this is the place to go! At19 Culinary, they provide a chef instructor to guide you along the way during classes, and they're always ready with the right information, even when it not about the dish you're preparing at19. The moment i arrived at19, the first thing i got was a friendly 'good morning' greeting by one of the managers at19. Customer service is superb!

What will you learn at19? They have different dishes prepared during different seasons, so there is always a variety of choices that you can always go for with at19 Culinary. In a more general term, they will definitely teach you how to cook new dishes, make new friends and take home new recipes to prepare for the people you love or simply to show off to your friends when you throw a party where you can gladly say that "yeah, i prepared the food here."  haha. They will also give you tips where you can take your cooking skills to a whole new level!

With fully equipped kitchen.
So i was given the opportunity to experience the whole class myself, thanks to At19 Culinary for giving me the opportunity and also Tammy for picking me to be a part of the blogging experience. YAY! So, what was on the list? well, due to the season of Christmas, the menu for the day was to make gingerbread cookies.

It was very convenient as all we needed to bring was our own tupperware to bring back our cookies, otherwise you can always purchase one from them for disposable tupperware's for 80 cents. Convenient and considerate, love the service! Not to forget that they will provide ingredients for you on the table right before you arrive, just to have a feel of the ingredients before you start. At19 Culinary, we were guided by one of their chef, to make sure we were on the right track.

Suraya as our personal chef helper. Super nice too!
Since we were making ginger bread, here's the recipe that makes 12.

Ingredients to Ginger bread.
1. Unsalted Butter, 155g Chilled and diced
2. Brown Sugar, 175g
3. Eggs, 1 nos Grade A
4. Black Treacle, 2 tbsp
5. Plain Flour, 350g
6. Ground Ginger , 1 tbsp
7. Bicarbonate Soda, 1 tbsp
8. Vanilla essence, 1 tbsp

Royal Icing Ingredients.
Icing Sugar, 250g
Egg White, 1/2 nos
Lemon Juice, 1/2 nos
Glycerin, 1/2 nos

And for the decorations, you call always use gummies, silver drags or simply any candy you want, or chocolate buttons! Now that the ingredients are pretty clear, lets get started! First of all, before start mixing everything into a bowl, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. And also don't forget to grease three baking sheets.

Now the real baking begins!  Mix the flour, bicarbonate soda, ginger and diced butter first until it resemble fine breadcrumbs. Once it has resembled looking like breadcrumbs, add sugar, egg, black treacle and form a dough.

Mixing the flour and diced unsalted butter
Once everything is being mixed, it should look like bread crumbs
After adding sugar, egg and black treacle, breadcrumbs should be formed into a dough looking like this.
Next, flour the surface of dough, and knead until smooth. Shape into a ball, wrap in clear film and chill for 10 minutes. When 10 minutes is over, roll out the dough thinly and cut out using shaped cutters.

Roll over the dough.

Leaving a 1cm thick flat dough.

And of course, the best part! shaping the dough with cutters.

My four ginger bread cuttings: ginger bread man, christmas tree, snowman and a Christmas sock.
Once that is done, bake the cooking for about 12 to 15 minutes or till its pale golden.

Freshly out of the oven!
So here is how it looks like after its out of the oven, aint it preets?! Almost done! and of course, before decorating it, we need to wait or it to cool off so that the icing doesn't melt and ruin your whole design. For a better cookie texture, remove from pan and place on wire rack to cool properly, not forgetting the bottom part of the cookie.

While waiting for it to cool properly, its the best time to make the icing!
In the above photo, you can spot colourful packs of icing. To make royal icing, beat egg whites with lemon juice and glycerin. Next, gently add in icing sugar, batch by batch till you get a soft thick paste.

Before decorating it.
After decorations.  i didn't want to make it too sugary, so i tried my best to minimise on the icing on my cookies.
Everyone of us did an amazing job, and i loved the colours of our final outcome! I managed to take a selfie with the chef, Suraya, and to also personally thank her for all her guidance into making the perfect ginger bread man!

With Suraya on my right.
The whole team of bloggers who attended the class. Loving everyones spirit!

As everyone had to work in a group of 4, here are my team members. Glad to have managed to made new friends. And guys, if you're reading this, i think we make a great team of baking! :D Well, i hope i see you guys in other events as well. Don't forget to say hi!

I would really suggest you guys to go there to spend your weekend differently with friends or family, as its a fun experience to be cooking together, and also, to leave all the cleaning hassle if you're doing it at your own house ;) The class was held for around 3 hours or less in this baking class, just in case any of you are wondering.

Sugar Skull Makeup ; DIY

Hey everyone, since halloween is just around the corner and some of you have been wondering how i got my sugar skull makeup done, so here it is! the moment of truth. This would be my first time blogging about a tutorial on how to DIY sugar skull make up. Feel free, or do let me know, if i missed anything out. Happy reading!

Now, first, before we start, obviously we need to know what we need? In my case, i was just using the things that i have at home which we're not entirely based on just make up.

Things you need:

1. Maybelline Color Tattoo : Blue, grey and turquoise
2. Johsons Baby Powder ( since i didn't want to use white face paint ) haha
3. Maybelline Sharp Eyeliner
4. Silkygirl Lip liner
5. Gem Stickers.

Now, once you have all that in your list, you can start on painting you face into a beautiful skull. First off lets start with pre-preparation. If you have long hair like mine, i would suggest that you tie it up into a bun to make sure your hair doesn't distract you from applying makeup. What i did was i tied my hair up into a bun, cause i like my hair to be all tied so that it stays neat.

My hair let down

Tied hair into bun
Next is the fun part, what i did was i lined a circle around my eyes with baby powder (cause i wasn't confident enough to draw directly using an eyeliner), or you could just directly use eyeliner to draw your circle around your eyes. Once you're done with that, you can just colour your nose partly like how i did or they're also different ways to do it, depending on your nose structure.

Draw a circle around your eyes

Colour your nose black.

When that is done, you would roughly know where to apply white to your face. This is optional if you don't have white face paint or if you prefer not applying white, would be fine to. You can skip this part if you want your look to be more natural. Im suppose to use white paint, but i didn't exactly prefer to have a sticky feel on my face as white face paint leave a sticky feeling to it, i decided to use baby powder. haha

The next one would be applying the Maybelline colour tattoo to the inner part of the circle, in my case, i mixed blue and turquoise. But any colour would be fine depending on the clothes you wear. If you don't have colour tattoo, eyeshadow works the same way as well.

All white around the face.

Apply colour in the inner circle of your eyes.
Almost there, just the final touch ups, would be drawing some patterns on your forehead and also around your lips. I used maybelline colour tattoo in grey to my eyes to create a more dramatic look, and also applied some eyeliner like how you would usually apply it to your eyes.

I applied some lip liner on the inner part of the lips to create a certain to, but you can apply it any way you want it, be confident! Adding red lipstick would be fine too, but since i made my eyes dramatic, it would preferably be better if you let just one part of your face gets the attention. And since i had these diamond stickers lying around at home, i decided to apply it around my circle to create a more dramatic look.

And wallah, let your hair down and your look is done! To give it a complete look to it, add flowers to your hair and wear the perfect outfit to be looking hauntingly beautiful.

I hope this was clear enough for you to understand, and feel free to ask me any questions or maybe some tips on how to improve my tutorial writing skills. Have a good day! and also...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Much love,
Aliza Sara xx
