[REVIEW] Bio-Oil ; Skincare oil

Introducing Bio-Oil

Dont you hate it when you get scars when youre playing with your car, or stretch marks after doing too much sports? Bio-Oil is a familiar brand to many when it comes to diminishing scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, ageing skin and dehydrated skin. Bio-Oil has been a trusted brand to me, and i decided to do a write up on how well it really works!

Instructions and claims.

Bio-Oil claims to be a specialist skincare product formulated to help improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin tone. The unique formulation contains a breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil, which is highly effective for ageing and dehydrated skin. Its also designed to be safe to be used on your face and body, which is an extra bonus!

Instructions to make sure users use it right.

Each box of Bio-Oil comes with a manual with instructions on how the oil should be used, depending on your skin condition that youre trying to solve. The application has not much difference as no matter what problem your skin is facing, its advised to apply Bio-Oil twice daily and its to be used for a minimum of 3 months. I also took some time reading the manual, and it says that you can use this while youre in your bath tub. YAS!

Anti Leak cap design.

Easy control.

The packaging comes in a plastic bottle, and also an anti leak cap. The oil happens to be in a transparent orange colour, and its very easy to control on the amount youre pouring to the palm of your hands. Theres no specific instruction to how much you need, but i guess its based on your instincts on how much should be used depending on how much of skin surface youre covering.

Rubbing Bio-Oil onto scar like so.

I have this ugly scar here on my knee and im hoping that the scar would at least be less obvious once i start applying Bio-Oil. All you need to do is apply some Bio-Oil to the palm of your hands, spread it out with both hands and apply it to the needed area. And thats about it! You may think that the world 'Oil' in Bio-Oil would lead to the liquid feeling greasy, but no. Its not greasy at all and i love how its rapidly absorbed by the skin.

After a week of using Bio-Oil, i decided to take a photo of the same scar to see if it reduced. From the photo above, it think its showing pretty good results, dont you think so? Its not as obvious as it was before and i love how my skin felt smoother too. You have to try this to believe it!

The verdict: 

☑Its reduces the marks of scars and evens out uneven skin
☑Smells like Rosemary and Lavender oil (very relaxing)
☑Suitable for Face and Body
☑Non-greasy and well absorbed by skin
☑Suitable for sensitive skin

I have a few stretch marks around my thighs, which makes me feel less confident to go around to beaches in bikini's. *cries* But i have yet to try it out to see if it removes these marks entirely! Wish me luck ;)

[REVIEW] Doclabs Korea Face Ampoules

The packaging.

Being in your twenties, its the most crucial time to be more concern about your skin. Especially when youre living in Malaysia, we usually would take the sun for granted. Im currently struggling with combination skin, oily and dry, where both are terrible skin issues. I have to admit that when my skin is dry, i become pretty much clueless on what to do, so i hide it with foundation and concealer.

But with flaky dry skin, i think what my skin needs would be an extra boost of moisturiser to keep my skin protected and moist at the time. I was introduced with DocLab's Face Ampoules which is highly concentrated with hyaluronic acid (as mentioned on the packaging itself) which is formulated all the way in Korea. This product is to be said that it gives a moisture boost, restores, retexturize skin, protects, whitens and soothes the skin. As amazing as that sounds, theres only one way to find out if it really works.

Well, knowing that its formulated in Korea, i think the chances of this brand would work can be pretty high. So i decided to give this a go and try it out on my skin, since my skin does need some attention.

The inside of the packaging

They come in 5 mini glass bottles.

This Face Ampoule comes in a box of 5 units of 2ml/0.06FL.oz in each bottle. In every one bottle, it contains aqua, collagen, sodium PCA, Witch Hazel water, Ginseng Root Extract, Aloe Vera, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vitamin E, Arbutin and Methylisotniazolinone. These ingredients are suppose to restore the skins suppleness, elasticity and retexturization.

How it Works

Apply pressure at both ends to open cap.

Using a wet tissue to prevent the glass dust from travelling through air

Each ampoule comes in a glass like bottle which needs to be break open to take the product out. Its also mentioned on the box that its advisable to use a wet tissue or towel when you open the ampoule to prevent the glass dust from travelling through air. *Please take note

Apply to your palm

After doing some research, the reasons why are DocLab's Face Ampoule are kept safely in a glass like bottle is because that the ingredients are highly concentrated and it reacts to surroundings very quickly. So be sure to apply the liquid to the palm of your hands and massage it to your face the minute you break it open.

Apply to face in an upward motion.

Its said that Hyaluronic Acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water and it helps your skin to repair and regenerate itself after suffering from dryness. I decide to apply DocLab's Face Ampoule after my shower, then leave it on overnight to let the ampoule do its magic while im getting my beauty sleep.

Results

I woke up the next day, and to my surprise, my skin felt very supple and smooth. Even my flaky skin was all gone! I love how the product absorbs by the skin very well, and does not have a sticky feel after application. Based on how well it works, im currently using it at least once a week to sustain the results for the next 4 weeks. In conclusion, i would recommend this to those who are suffering from dry skin or to those who want to reduce wrinkles too, because it definitely works like a charm *Two Thumbs up*

Hyalyronic Acid, repairs while you sleep.

They have previously exported the product to Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Hong Kong and im glad that they decided to export to Malaysia too! They are usually priced at RM138 per box, but now theyre going for RM98 for a short period of time! If youre looking for a painless, fast solution to your dry skin, this is worth every penny as the results are practically instant!

[REVIEW] CiUM ; The ultimate kissing lip balm

The packaging.

What is life? Life is all about the emotions, the excitements, the adventure and the list goes endlessly to describe what life really is. And today, im introducing to you a lipbalm called CiUM, because its no ordinary lip balm im telling you.

Im proud to say that this is a Malaysian brand, by an airline pilot based in Malaysia. The pilot came about developing this product was because of a long distance relationship with his girlfriend who is also a pilot. And due to a lot of travelling, lips would be cracked because of the dry air, where lipbalm is necessary. The pilot found that most lip balms is either too oily or bland, and this lead him to decide to develop a kissing lip balm.

Some information of the lip balm.

This kissing lip balm does not just keeps your lips moist, but also it enhances your kissing experiences. Basically, this lipbalm comes in a pair, and each partner will choose a flavour to apply on their lips. When kissing, the flavours mix and produce a sensation that intensifies kissing. So dont be surprised when you feel a tingling sensation once you try it out for the first time. hehe. Now, its review time!

Both are colourless leaving the product natural.

So, i decided to try this out with my sister, because this lip balm doesnt mean that its only for couples right? hehe. From the photo above, you can clearly see that i have the CiUM lip balm in S'Berry and Meeko. Being a responsible sister, i decided to let my sister choose which flavour she wants first.

So she picked Meeko

And i had to go for S'berry

So, my sister decided to choose Meeko and with no choice, im getting the S'berry! hehe. Upon application we both had our own saw to what these balms felt and tasted like. Here would be the review :

Meeko: Meeko apparently smells like chocolate, and once applied on the lips, it has a mild taste of coco leaving a slight icy feeling on the lips.

S'Berry: Smells very sweet and since i couldn't resist myself, i decided to taste a bit of the lipbalm myself, and to my surprise, it has a very decent lychee taste instead. Yums

Both generally did not feel like those sticky lip balm which annoys your lips after a while, so yay to that! And of course, the moment of truth would be the kiss!

The kiss!

Haha. I kid, we didnt had the guts to kiss each other on camera, so fret not! If youre single or you dont have anybody to kiss, you can still enjoy this lipbalm. Instead of finding a partner to kiss, you can also kiss yourself by rubbing your lips together to make applying lipbalm more exciting :) Perfect for those who hate applying lip balm.

Apply one flavour on upper lip, and the other flavour on the bottom lip.

Basically, if you would want to use this for yourself, you can do what my sister did by applying one flavour on the top lip, and the other flavour on the bottom lip.

Do the 'mmm' lip movement.

The next step is to do the 'mmm' movement to your lips and thats where you can feel the sensation of what this lipbalm can do. And believe me, it will surprise you! I personally love the scent that it leaves and also the after feel of the lipbalm, staying on your lips very naturally without having that sticky icky feel like the 'usual' lipbalm in stores.

And there you have it! Me and my sister loves this lip balm cause its by far the coolest lip balm ever! As for now, i know that they dont exactly have the best packaging, but they are soon to develop a new packaging! Matic Street Arts Festival 2015 launch

The official launch of the MaTiC Street Arts Festival 2015.

If you guys arent sure what MaTiC is, MaTiC happens to stand for the Malaysian Tourist Information Centre and theyre more than proud to annouce that they will be the main host for the MaTiC Street Arts Festival (MSAF) which will be happening on the 7th & 8th of November 2015.

We had YB Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin who is from the Timbalan Menteri Pelancongan dan Kebudayaan in Malaysia who said that this Festival happens to be an initiative to promote various and unique cultures in Malaysia which is in a context of culture, creative tourism of Malaysia to attract more tourist to enjoy Malaysia the way locals do.

This festive event is organised to promote and awareness of our current trend of street arts making it a platform for locals artist, by giving them an opportunity to show off their talents during this festival to be enjoyed by both locals and tourist. Besides that, this festival will also have a bazaar for visitors to enjoy Malaysian creative goods and food trucks! Yums

A performance by the performance team of Istana Budaya.

The concept of the entire festival would be based on Family Fun concept where its suitable for families to enjoy their day. The event will have concert performances, cartoon and comic mascots appearance from Boboboi and Megamind for the kids, Buskers and Indie band competition, Mural and Graffiti artworks, Barber & Clothing, Biker groups, Street Soccer competition and of course not forgetting yummy foodtrucks!

[REVIEW] Jersey Jack Gelato

Exterior.

I scream for ice cream! But this time in a form of Gelato. Tehee. Well to start it off, im sure you wonder why its called Jersey Jack Gelato? 1. The cow breed is a Jersey Breed, 2. The son of the founder's name is Jack, 3. Gelato is pretty much their speciality! Bright Cow apparently has the first herd of Jersey cows  in Malaysia which are renowned for their high quality, high fat milk which is perfect for gelato production. And you'll get what i mean when you get your first bite of Jersey Jack's Gelato. *too die for*

Jersey Jack Gelato is located at a cozy corner just around the heart of KL in Bukit Bintang. I was amazed to find the shops just along some housing areas, a part of KL i never knew. But if youre familiar with No Black Tie, well, its along the same road. The setting was very welcoming, and its a great place to just hide from all the busy life of the city. Wifi is available too!

There are 36 flavours in total, with a variety of Gelato, Sorbet, Sherbet and Yogurt. I was lucky to be introducted to JoAnnA Chee, who is the Gelato marketer who shared some details on their Gelato. She mentioned that Jersey Jack Gelato's are made fresh weekly and all the ingredients are at its best quality to make sure that their Gelato's are at a level of one of the best Gelato's that you ever tasted. And JoAnnA, if youre reading this, you got my tastebuds in love with your amazing Gelato's! Teehee

Dont forget to ask for testers

Before deciding a flavour, customers are more than welcome to get testers before deciding on what to order and believe me, deciding was not easy when everything tastes so good. And after trying almost more than 10 flavours, i got my heart to go for their New York Cheese Cake as my main order. I decided to get a Knickerbockerglory, because they staff's there told me that its one of their best sellers.

The Knickerbockerglory is more than enough for a person, and its also great for sharing if you ask me. The Knickerbockerglory is basically layers of Rasberry, Cream, your choice of gelato, sponge, more gelato, whip cream and a cherry on top, tasted like heaven in a tall glass. I mean, dont you think by just looking at the photo got your drooling? Hehe. Sorry guys, its just THAT good. No regrets.

The Menu.

Well, if youre not a fan of berries, there are more choices that you can choose from. You can also enjoy your gelato in a form of a Sundae's, a milkshake, or enjoy it with waffles, or pancakes,  or in a banana split, and Parfait too! Good luck on deciding. hehe. (Tempted to get them to cater at my wedding atm) haha

Well, i guess i've said what has to be said, and im already planning to bring my family over to enjoy some artisan gelato's. yums. To more gelato visits to Jersey Jacks Gelato, and i personally do wonder if i'll ever be more than adventurous to try their exotic flavours like Salmon Wasabi or their Chilli, ginger and lemongrass.
