My Bungee Jumping Experience at Sunway Lagoon

Never in my life that i thought i would do this, but we did it guys! I actually went bungee jumping at Sunway Lagoon! So if you've always wanted to do bungee jumping but never really had the guts to do it, this post would be dedicated to you guys as a preparation before you decide to take that leap off the edge, 21 meters down. If youre planning to bungee jump, you've come to the right place as i'll be sharing to you on the procedures of bungee jumping from Sunway Lagoon's suspension bridge. Two days before we both decided to go for bungee jumping it was actually my partners 26th birthday and I somehow recalled that he told me that bungee jumping has always been on his bucket list. So just to spice up his birthday weekend I decided to take him out for bungee jumping on the fine Sunday at Sunway Lagoon. As we were both walking through Sunway Lagoon I was talking to a friendly Sunway Lagoon staff where she told me that the bungee jumping activity is actually managed by an external vendor because they believe that the extreme activities should be left to the professionals, who are well-trained and are also known as the bungee masters. That kind of give me a sense of relief to know that jumping off the edge are managed and guided by the professionals. Yay!

Some safety procedures

I know to some people, bungee jumping has a concern on safety and security so just to share to you on the procedures, upon preparing myself to my bungee jump I had bungee masters tying towels and a rope around my calf really tight that it did gave me that safe feeling. And once youre all ready for your jump with all your equipements ready and worn, the bungee masters then will guide you to the edge as you prepare yourself for your jump. I was also told that they will give 3 chances for you to decide on your jump, and if you still havent decided to jump, they will withdraw your opportunity for safety reasons. My partner was also hesitating to bring a GoPro during our jump, but im glad that the bungee master insisted that we bring the GoPro to avoid regrets. And guess what, no regrets!

And OMG, I can't believe that I really took that leap off the edge. I think the real trill would be when you're standing on the edge and you have the bungee master giving you a countdown starting from 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BUNGEE! Thats when my heart literally sank so deep into the lake, hoping that when i reach the end of this rope, i'd be still breathing. LOL. Just in case some of you are wondering, I was expecting the spring pull to be painful but surprisingly it didnt feel painful at all as i guess they bungee jump vendors really knew what they were doing. Would i do it again? YES!

And that how high we we thrown into the sky

While I was there, i also managed to ride the G-Force X Duo. I know its crazy enough that i went to bungee jump to also ride the G-Force X Duo all in a day, but i would descirbe the G-Force X Duo as a milder version of the Bungee Jump. Unlike bungee jumping, you will be seated in a bucket seat and there will also be a safety belt that you have to wear, and once youre all tucked in the seat, just sit back, relax and wait for your time to be shot into the air. So if youre not too daring to bungee jump, ride the G-Force X Duo to just get a feel of what bungee jumping would feel like.

[REVIEW] Photo shoot at Kaio Studio, Shah Alam

Hello there! If you've been a follower on my Instagram, you would notice that I had a recent photoshoot with Kaio Studio. (So, psst, if you haven't followed me yet, follow me already! @alizasara) I am more than thankful to Kaio Studio for giving me an opportunity to get a feel of their NEW studio which just recently opened in Shah Alam, Selangor. So I think from the title itself, its pretty clear what services Kaio Studio provides right? Kaio Studio is a photoshoot studio that features both white and black backgrounds making it the most ideal photoshoot studio in Shah Alam. Apart from the cleanliness and the team of photographers they have to offer, I have to say that Kaio Studio is by far the most comfortable studio I've worked with. Walking into Kaio Studio is like walking into your own home, with friendly staffs to greet you as you enter the studio. Psst, this studio is also air-conditioned.

Capturing only the best angles 

You must be wondering why I say that Kaio Studio is the most ideal photoshoot studio in Shah Alam, so let me tell you why. The reason why i really have a high preference towards Kaio Studio is of course the people Kaio works with. They are very educated and well knowledgable to capture only the good angles when it comes to photography. Not to forget that they're very helpful with tips on how to pose when you feel awkward in front of the camera. HAHA. And i also like the idea that they have a proper space to change your outfit (if needed), so you wont have to worry about thinking of how to change to your next outfit while you're in the studio. There is also a toilet in the corner of the studio for your convenience, so you basically wont have to worry about a thing.

How it all started

A little background check on Kaio Studio, despite being a new studio in Shah Alam, Kaio Studio actually started since 2012 by Anwar Abdullah a.k.a Kaio. Kaio started his career by being a wedding videographer, and slowly he ventured to different genre's to cater to weddings, events, advertising, campaign videos and TV programs which I have to salute to him for having this passion to create such masterpieces. The video above would be his first 'time freeze' video which literally went viral across Malaysia and if you watch it for yourself, I think you can see that Kaio is indeed a creative person to work with, especially when it comes to compiling your memories to be extra ordinary.

The Experience

Now to share some of my experience at Kaio Studio which happened earlier this month. I am utterly honored to be invited for a casual shooting session, and in no doubt really excited to be shot by the famous Kaio with a few other bloggers as well. As i walked into the studio, i was greeted with a friendly welcome by the staff and Kaio himself which really made me feel comfortable to be there. In the studio, i found a vanity mirror to work my make up with, which was really convenient for me to get my final touches of make up to my face. So thats a bonus point for Kaio Studio! Not to forget that he was also very considerate to provide an iron and a place to hang our clothes so that it doest get crumpled by putting it everywhere, which left me with less worries. Thank you Kaio!

Honestly, not being a model myself, i was extremely worried about the shoot. It was literally like a moment of anxious anxiety filled with worries of what if my pose makes me look undecent, what if my double chin appears, what if I blink too much during the shoot and all the other 'what ifs' you can think of. And trust me, I was COLD because I was so nervous to be in front of the camera. But since I was there, I took a deep breath and walked myself to the set and prepared my first few poses. Turns out, it went better than expected. With Kaio being behind the camera, he gave me some guides and tips on how to strike a pose. Even in moments I felt awkward, he still took photos of me, AND at that very moment, i was already so worried about my photos coming out to look like im not ready.

And tadaa, as you can see in the photos above, that would be the results of the shoot. Its crazy how fast he managed to produce these photos to me. In less than 24 hours, the photos were already out and ready to be printed if I requested to be. *EEEEEKKK* as I scream in excitement because I was shocked to see that these photos were really good (despite my awkward self during the shoot). Kaio really knows how to capture moment that makes you look good, and not to forget that he captures your good angles without the need of you telling him to. AHH. Kaio has also done a photoshoot in Paris with Anuar Zain for a front cover shoot for a Fashion & Travel magazine. How insane is that? At times like these, you would wish you were Kaio. Haha. He has also been to Cairo, egypt for a fashion shoot by Ezuwan Ismail, and many more other fashion brands such as Lynda Rahim, Wandpa, Melinda Looi and Zawara. Indeed the few top brands in Malaysia in the fashion industry. The Bonsai Master || Masashi Hirao [Show impression]

The Bonsai Master, Masashi Hirao

I know I posted about the Bonsai Project earlier in January, but if you haven't read that post yet, here's a little introduction on Bonsai. The word 'Bon-sai' is a Japanese term which, literally means "planted in a container" when translated. Since I was a little curious about where the art of Bonsai came from, I managed to do a little research on the beauty of it. Apparently, it all started when the Japanese decided to develop the art of Bonsai along the influence of Zen Buddhism which has been around for over a thousand years. The goal of growing a Bonsai is usually to create a miniaturized but realistic representation of nature in the form of a tree, and personally speaking, it really takes a lot of passion and patience to create such art.

Every touch matters

So, I finally managed to make time to watch the show, and to my surprise, I never knew there were so much to take into consideration when designing the perfect Bonsai Masterpiece! I have to say that Master Masashi Hirao is one of the greatest Bonsai artists I know as every bonsai artwork made by him is unique in his own way. I notice that the way he visualizes his masterpiece by touching and understanding the plant in the most respected manner. No wonder when you browse through his Youtube Channel, you'll find bonsai artist from all around the world commenting on his artwork while seeking for advice to be as good as Master Masashi Hirao.

Am I the only one who finds this calming? 

Being a Malaysian myself, I do wish Malaysia would have people who are as passionate as Master Masashi Hirao when it comes to nature. I believe that Malaysia has so much land that is untouched, and it would be great if someone could combine nature and art to represent the love we have for our one and only planet. Since I was watching the show with my family, because nothing beats family time, even my sister was inspired by Master Masashi Hirao's Bonsai artwork. It's crazy to see him make everything look so easy when it takes a lot of patience and passion for completing each bonsai project.

I honestly feel that if the Bonsai's had feelings, they would indeed love Master Masashi Hirao for always grooming them to look at their best. From the coordination and the placement, everything has so much meaning to it. What I love most about his Bonsai artworks would be that they are never the same. Each of the bonsai naturally has their own character and beauty, making it look prestigious. I always loved how each Bonsai had their own character, but I honestly never knew it takes a good groomer to maintain its beauty. That's what Master Masashi Hirao taught me through the show.

I partially regret not getting the opportunity to at least see him in person when he came down to Malaysia 2 months ago (Video above was when he was in Penang in December 2016). It would be a dream to see him create such beauty and in hopes to at least catch some of his skills after watching him do his magic. But if you did not manage to catch his first episode, fret not as they will be airing the TV program of Mashi Hirao called Bonsai & Dunia on RTM1 on the 11th, 18th, 24th (time may differ on this date) and 25th February from 2 pm to 3 pm.  I honestly hope he'll upload these episodes on his Youtube Channel so that I can re-watch him creating beautiful masterpieces. xx
