Let me just highlight this to you that it's NOT a beauty contest guys! So don't think that its another beauty pageant to snag the hearts of the audience. If you think you got what it takes who lives life to the fullest in a healthy way, well, you might just deserve the title!

What's in it for you? Well, each winner will sign a one-year contract as Guardian's Brand Ambassador that comes with RM10,000 cash, RM10,000 Guardian vouchers, and RM5,000 each for them to give to a charity organization of your choice. You will also be featured on the Cover of Guardians Brand Catalogues and of Guardians Brand Catalogues and other collaterals and will also receive products from participating sponsors. As Guardian understands that their customers believe that true beauty comes from a healthy physical and mental state of being, this challenge would emphasize to encourage a healthy lifestyle physically and mentally. Being the first of its kind in Malaysia, the search for 'The Face of Healthy Beauty' is open to all Malaysian females aged 18 years and above. Entries are to be submitted online at https://theface.guardian.com.my.

What would you need to do? 

All you would need to do is to upload a 30-second video of yourself explaining 'Why you want to be The Face of Healthy Beauty?', include one full-length photo and one passport photo of yourself in which you may submit anytime between 20th May to 12th June 2019. 100 participants will be shortlisted to attend the semi-finals at Johor Bahru City Square, Gurney Plaza Penang, Central i-City Mall Shah Alam and 1Borneo Hypermall Kota Kinabalu Sabah. And to wrap that up, four semi-finals from each region will attend the Grand Finals in Shah Alam on 27th July 2019.

One thing i love about Ramadhan, would be the festive season menu specials! During the month of Ramadhan and Aidilfitri, Starbucks welcomes Malaysian customers to celebrate the festive Ramadhan season through its newest offerings that is inspired by the diversity and rich heritage of Malaysia. Jeng jeng jeng, can you guess what flvaours would remind you of Ramadhan?

Getting into the festive season with Starbucks!

Introducing new dessert options from Starbucks to compliment your cup of coffee. Or if youre a little creative this Ramadhan season, its also a great gift to  give to your loved ones this holy month of Ramadhan. Just to list down the new addition to the starbucks dessert menu, the menu includes the Bandung Éclair, Gula Melaka Donut and Green Velvet Nangka Cake, and the returning favorite, Ondeh-Ondeh Muffin that will be sure to bring you nostalgic and familiar flavors of all our hometown favorites.

Green Velvet Nangka Cake - RM13.70

If youre feeling adventurous with flavours, the Green Velvet Nangka Cake is something that is not to be missed. The pandan flavor of the green velvet is enhanced with bits of jackfruit (Nangka) and cheese mousse. Also, for beginners, for a gastronomical experience, the cake is best paired with Starbucks signature Pike Place Roast or Kenya beans.

Gula Melaka Donut - RM7.20

Adding into the list would be the Gula Melaka Donut, which is shaped like a star when you see it through the display fridge. This donut is the first of its kind and was inspired by ‘Gula Melaka’ or also known as palm sugar. This heartwarming favorite is topped with roasted Hawaiian coconut shavings, making it the perfect gift for the Aidilfitri homecoming. A little birdy told me that this goes really well with Starbucks signature Pike Place Roast beans or Starbucks Ice Shaken Passion Tea.

Bandung Éclair - RM7.30

Next on the menu would be the Bandung Éclair – The classic French pastry is given a Malaysian twist. I dont know about you, but i've always been a huge fan of éclair , and now its even better since it features soft custard filling, with its pastry submerged in rose cordial syrup (Sirap Bandung) topped with pink chocolate and pink chocolate drizzle. Coffee lovers, i've been told that his pastry is best paired it with our Veranda Blend or Starbucks Americano.

Ondeh-Ondeh Muffin - RM8.20

And last but not least would be the returning favorite, the Ondeh-Ondeh Muffin. The Ondeh-Ondeh Muffin is inspired by the traditional local ‘kuih’, where it features a muffin that has a combination of pandan and coconut flavors, complimented with a rich ‘Gula Melaka’ or palm sugar sauce and a hint of coconut bites. This Ondeh-Ondeh muffin is a unique flavored muffin perfect for treats during Hari Raya open houses or gifting during this festive season. I've tried this last year, and i have to admit that i've had this more than 3 times throughout the week. Guilty as charged! hehe.

Shawl & Bawal CintaZara | Upcoming Malaysian Scarves to Keep an Eye On!

Now being the month of the holy festive season, I managed to stumble upon CintaZara while I was browsing through the Cashless Raya Bazaar at Quill City Mall KL which is happening from the 16th of May 2019 till the 20th of May 2019. So, being married now to an amazing husband, I soon to believe that one day I will wear a veil over my head to present my religious belief to be a better wife and a better Muslim (Insyallah..). And with that in mind, I found CintaZara scarves rather attractive as they use Matte Satin Silk which is super soft and lightweight.

A little background on CintaZara Scarves, its actually named after the daughters of two best friends, Cinta and Zara. Being able to converse with the founders myself, I can sense that its a very sentimental project for them to prove their love over their friendship as they come up with something that they both love, scarves that are easy to style and which are very comfortable. Upon passing by their booth at the PrestoPay event, I can see that it's very well planned and organized to make this branding a reality.

So currently being a new scarves brand coming up in the Malaysian industry, they have two types of scarves to choose from, the Shawl and the Bawal. I personally prefer the Shawl more as a beginner, I find it easier to style especially when I have a chubby face, to begin with. Hehe. But since they were having a promotion on site, I just had to grab a few pieces back home without any regrets! Each shawl/bawal starts at RM79 per piece, but in conjunction with the promotion at the event I attended, I only got it at RM49 per piece. Such a good deal!

If you have been keeping up with the local industry, you might be aware of the Duo Designers under the label Wan & Mary who was crowned champion of the local fashion designer Gen F in the first season in 2018. The designers of Wan & Mary are a duo by Hazzerwan Lee 29, and Mariam Musa, 29, who managed to beat nine other fashion brands winning themselves RM100,000 to start their own empire. And to welcome 2019, its good to see them in action being involved in Raya Bazaars which I was lucky enough to come across with.
