10 Binjai Restaurant has always been a place I wanted to visit and guess what, I finally made it there to try out their new ala-carte menus which compromise elements of Malay local cuisines and International dishes at an affordable price. With a decent spread showcasing over 10 new refreshing menus, 10 Binjai Restaurant promises to feature the freshest and the best ingredients to be offered when youre within the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Was also lucky enough to catch the Executive Chef of 10 Binjai Restaurant, Chef Amran and believe it or not, he has over 26 years of experience within the culinary industry. Every dish that is specially curated for 10 Binjai Restaurant offers customers a unique dining experience offering a gastronomy experience of taste, presentation, and flavours. To start of your dining experience, the new menu offers Prawn Salad and Ceasar Salad which I must say is one of my favorite dishes that is served on the menu. The Prawn Salad with mixed fruits (RM18) was served cold with shrimp and in terms of presentation and taste, I really wouldn't mind another plate of it! The Ceasar Salad (RM20) on the other hand came with chicken slices and it came in a huge portion too, enough for those who want to share as well.

Moving on to the main dishes, the menu offers Seafood Tom Yam Soup, Chicken Oblong, and even Nasi Lemak! Being a fan of Tom Yam, I must say that they are very generous with the portion for this. The broth of the Seafood Tom Yam Soup (RM18) was rich in flavor and had a tinge of spicy and sour taste which presented the local Tom Yam flavor really well. The Grilled Chicken Oblong (RM25) despite being a popular local street food, Chef Amran did a pretty good job making it look good enough to be served in a restaurant. It's big and well cooked for those who just want to enjoy the local delicacies of a hot dog in Malaysia. And as for the local highlight dish, there's Nasi Lemak (RM28) specially created by Chef Amran's secret recipe. It's accompanied by sambal and fried chicken, and I must say that the fried chicken was a show stopper! You got to try this for yourself to really understand what I mean.

For those craving for some western flavors, there's Pepperoni Pizza, Lamb Chop, and Sizzling Chicken Chop to indulge into. If you're looking for a dish to share, the Peperoni Pizza (RM35) is a good choice to consider. Its freshly made, and taste just the way the Italians would enjoy it. But if you're a meat lover, there's no doubt but to order either the Lamb Chop (RM40) or the Sizzling Chicken Chop (RM28) as both are really good too! I'm a fan of chicken, so the sizzling chicken would be my repeat the next time I visit. Hehe. Flavors are very well balanced, and I loved the idea that these dishes are served hot with really nice presentation.

Not to forget the kids, the menu offers Spongebob Fingers (RM18) and Naruto Nuggets (RM18). Spongebob Fingers are actually fish fingers served with a side of fries, with just enough portion to fuel up the little ones. And as for the Naturo Nuggets, they are actually chicken nuggets served with fries on the sides as well. But if im feeling a little kiddy, my personal favorite that I would order for myself would be the Spongebob Fingers cause who doesn't enjoy having fish in forms of fried fimgers right? Great for light eaters too!

To top it all off, what's a meal without desserts. right? Well, as for desserts, 10 Binjai Restaurant offers Sago Melaka and Banana Boat in the menu. If youre looking for local desserts, well the sago Melaka is actually really good! The presentation may be a little high end, but the taste still taste like the Sago Melaka (RM10) that Malaysians love. But of course, it doesn't limit you to ordering the Banana Boat (RM12) which is a classic dessert best enjoyed alone or for sharing too! Nothing beats ending a meal with something sweet to cleanse the flavours off, am I right?

So just some fun facts before I end my post, did you know that 10 Binjai Restaurant has a pattern of changing the menu yearly to offer customers different menu's to try in different years? Being located really near to the Petronas Twin Towers, this makes PNB Perdana Hotel & Suites On The Park and accessible location! If you're traveling by lrt, you can always make a stop at Ampang Park station and its just 5 minutes walking distance from the station. Be sure to catch and get a taste of these exciting new menu before it changes again within a year. There is nothing above RM40 on the menu and I would say that the average price for each dish would be around RM25 which i think its really affordable when the portions are generous. [REVIEW] Byme Skincare | Plant based sources skincare (Suitable for All skin types including Sensitive skin)

An honest review of Byme Skincare

Recently explored a new skincare brand and I kinda think that the name of the brand is super cute, namely 'Byme' Skincare with a tagline of 'By me for you'. Hehe. Before I get into details on the products, let me share with you what makes Byme a convincing brand to me. The concept behind Byme skincare products is actually that they use naturally derived ingredients that would give a result of effortless beauty. And yes, this would also mean that their ingredients are plant-based sources which gives me a sense of relief when using it (especially when im currently 7 months pregnant!).

Founded by Bonnie Low, she had skin issues herself when she was younger which prevented her from using conventional skincare products. Because she has sensitive skin, she had very limited options and had to go for medicinal skin care products which she's prescribed to. Radiant Glow Gentle Cleansing Water

Comes in a plastic bottle

The Radiant Glow Gentle Cleansing water is more of a makeup remover that would gently cleanse your skin after a long day. After about a week of owning this gentle cleansing water, I personally use it as a makeup remover, or simply when I need an extra cleanse when my skin feels like it's covered with pollutants. It has this similar feel to a micellar water makeup remover, but I like it a lot more because it's more gentle and it leaves the skin feeling soft and supple after using it. It contains a variant of vitamin B5 infusion that would naturally skin well hydrated.

I'd say it does a pretty good job in removing makeup

It comes in a plastic bottle with a black cap that contains 120ml of cleansing water. Usually, I would use a cotton pad and dap an adequate amount of cleansing water and wipe off my make up by gently by wiping the cotton pad on my face. I was pretty impressed that despite putting very light pressure as I was removing my makeup, this did a pretty good job without really making my skin feel likes it's being harshly exfoliated. It's not oily, and it really leaves a clean finish. I approve!

After removing makeup, the next step is to use the Radiant Glow Cleansing Mousse. From the name itself, you would have guessed that it's a foam cleanser which is one of my favorite type of cleansers! It comes out in rich lather and the best part is, its a soap-free cleansing mousse! Being soap-free, it would unlikely cause any irritation to the skin, and how it gently removes impurities is through their active ingredients which would be the German Chamomile extract. It comes in a plastic pump bottle and contains about 150ml of product.

Cleanse in a circular motion then rinse

The benefit behind a cleansing mousse would be that it's naturally derived from coconuts, this ingredient is toxin-free, easily-rinsed off, and leaves no residue and irritation. It has also been clinically proven to improve skins pH balance while providing comfort when cleansing. I personally would pump 2 times onto my palms and lather onto the face while gently massaging face in a circular motion. Once cleansed, gently rinse off with water. I actually love the refreshing feel of my skin after cleansing as there's no tight drying feeling on the skin, and just as it claims, it leaves the skin feeling supple and cleansed

Once youre done cleansing, next would be to apply the Radiant Glow Skin Essence. This is apparently a two in one toner and serum that hydrates the skin effectively with its active ingredients to improve on hydration and cell structure. If youre looking to make your skin glow within this range, this would be the secret to it! It comes in a 120ml plastic bottle with a white cap which I appreciate since the size of the bottle is almost similar to the Radiant Glow Gentle Cleansing Water. Very thoughtful of them to think this through by differentiating the product by color coding the caps. 

The texture is like a slightly thick liquid

Very concentrated essence that works as a toner and serum

The essence is formulated to reduce inflammation and has been clinically tested to improve the skin's barrier and prevents rashes and breakouts. The ingredients are also naturally derived from reed flowers and fuling china root. Its toxin-free and cruelty-free making it suitable for all skin types while providing sufficient protection and nourishment for the skin. For this, I would usually dab a sufficient amount onto the palms of my hands and gently tap my face until the essence is fully absorbed. The texture is slightly on the sticky side if you ask me, but after a few minutes, till the essence is fully absorbed, you'd hardly notice the sticky feeling on the skin. I guess it takes a while for the skin to absorb the essence.

Radiant Glow Complexion Cream

Thick creamy texture, similar to sunblock

And to lock in the essence, it's always good to have the Radiant Glow Complexion Cream as a moisturizer which may also act as a makeup base. By using the Radiant Glow Complexion Cream, this rejuvenates the skin cells and brightens the complexion while providing hydration for the skin. It also has a mild sun blocking agent to keep your skin protected from harsh UV rays, but of course, it's always best to apply proper sunscreen for extra protection. It comes in a small pump bottle that contains about 30ml of product. 

Easy to apply and works great as a makeup base

Since the texture of the cream is a little heavy, I would use 1 pump of it and apply it onto the 5 points of my face. Gently spreading it out to ensure that its evenly spread out, the only comment that I have for this would be that it does leave your skin feeling slightly greasy, but it works great with makeup as it keeps your makeup fresh to last you throughout the day. Not a fan of the greasy texture, but once you apply your loose powder, youre good to go as it leaves your skin with a smooth finish.

For an extra boost in moisture, I actually really enjoyed using the Radiant Glow Hydrating Essence Face Mask. The mask is silky and translucent, so it feels really comfortable to leave it on the skin while you wait for the mask to do all the work. Designed to hydrate the skin with its naturally derived moisturizing ingredients, it has been proven to leave my skin soft and supple after application. The mask pack has instructions on it and it would be recommended to leave it on for about 20-30 minutes for best results.

When opening the individually packed mask, you'll find 3 layers of sheets that protect the mask. I usually remove the white sheet first, then gently apply it directly to the skin with the blue sheet facing outwards. Once satisfied with placing, remove the blue sheet and adjust the mask to your liking. The mask is so juicy that even after applying it on your face, you would also notice that there is extra essence in the pack. Don't let good essence go to waste, and maybe just apply it on your body. 

VERDICT?

What are my thoughts on Byme Skincare?

As a verdict, I would have to say that im impressed with Byme Skincare products and I honestly feel that the product is very safe for those who would like to opt for products that are toxin-free and cruelty-free. I am also convinced that the formulation for each product is effective and I find it a bonus that their products are derived from natural ingredients. What more can you really ask for from a skincare set? Hehe. It's minimal, and it does the job! In terms of price, I would say that it may be a little on the higher end, but for something that doesn't contain harsh ingredients that would harm the skin, its a fair price charge since it worked on my skin very well without giving me any breakouts.
