Natugee X Mrs Malaysia World | Healthy is the New Happy Workshop

Healthy is the New Happy
Hello everyone, adjusting to my postpartum hormones are pretty tricky at times as despite having hormones before giving birth, postpartum depression kicks in a little different with a baby. Honestly speaking, it feels like you lose control of your previous life, and everything else in the world stops cause all your attention goes to the newborn in your life as it welcomes you to motherhood. But with that, it doesn't mean I don't love my baby, I do! It's just that giving so much attention to the little one takes up a lot of your energy and it drains you emotionally if you don't get enough support from your husband and family. Thankfully enough, I have an amazing sister to help me keep sane when I feel like breaking down. Attending the Healthy is the New Happy Workshop has opened my eyes in so many ways that I feel like the information that I received during that day deserves a post to be shared with my readers as well. Scroll away to find out what the story all about.

Occasion was held at Furama

Before I share about anything else, you must be wondering what is Natugee? Well, Natugee is actually a brand of organic-based skincare who has collaborated with Mrs. Malaysia World as a CSR event project in conjunction with Pinktober. And if youre unfamiliar with Pinktober, it's a special month to commemorate and raise awareness about breast cancer which comes in like with finding happiness to keep your mind healthy. By organizing this workshop, it has been aimed to empower women's health as an overall. Through the Healthy is the New Happy workshop, the idea behind it would be to improve the quality of a women's life.

Hey look, theAsianparent was there too!
Presenting the exclusive products by Natugee
Now, in order to be happy, we need to realize that happiness starts with your health first. Without giving your body the love and care it needs, finding happiness may be a little challenging. The workshop focuses on mental health among women, and through the founder of Natugee, Mrs. Rena Rifaee, she says that a woman tends to play a role in ignoring her own health, which I would say can be dangerous. YIKES! When she mentioned that, I actually couldn't agree more cause I myself would ignore my own health, especially when I get too busy work and deadlines.

Being a mother, I believe that most mothers can relate to me when I say that we change 'hats' very often on a daily basis. It's like we have to be a wife and a mother when we're at home, but when we're out on weekdays, we are employees and leaders to take charge of workloads. To juggle the role of being a parent while having responsibilities that need to be fulfilled can be pretty challenging that we ignore our health unintentionally which may also lead to not knowing how to handle emotions which then causes depression.

Mrs. Malaysia World finalist was there too, to support the occasion
Believe it or not, what I learned from the workshop would be that they helped me find my confidence again and also spread the awareness of mental stress in females. Present at the workshop would be Dr. Linda Mat Hassin from the International Hormone Society and Mrs. Rena Rifaee, the CEO of Natugee Sdn Bhd. The session was more like a panel discussion where we got to share opinions and solutions on how we can be aware of depression and what happens to our body when we have to deal with these emotions.

Dr. Linda sharing topics on hormonal imbalance
The first session was with Dr. Linda who shared about symtoms of hormonal imbalance that could affect their health and lifestyle. In this discussion, I would have to agree that maintaining emotions and balancing that with a healthy lifestyle can be challenging. So, if youre reading this now, you have to make sure that your health is very important to keep your hormones sane. Some activities that you can start with would be to have an exercising schedule, eat a balanced diet and also try to make time for yourself to do things that you enjoy. As simple as that sounds, most of us tend to ignore this which may lead us to depression.

Mrs. Rena Rifaee sharing on misconceptions on skincare
The next session was lead by Mrs. Rena Rifaee, who further explained the misconceptions on skincare products. While I was pregnant, one of the biggest worries I had was skincare and trust me, I had to do a lot of studying to be able to identify which is safe for pregnancy and which isn't. That really added a lot of unintentional pressure on me, mentally. So, understanding your skin with the help of a skin specialist would do justice to reassure you on what kind of skincare would be safe to be used for your skin type. This may also contribute to reducing the chances of experiencing depression.

Diana Danielle sharing her thoughts on her first experience on anxiety
The workshop ended with a panel discussion with Datin Harveen Kaur who is Mrs. Malaysia World 2017 and current Director of Mrs. Malaysia World 2019 alongside Datin Diana Danielle. I found the discussion very touching and it really brought me into tears to find out that they too experienced postpartum depression and would like to spread this as an awareness. In relevance to what im experiencing currently, the emotions are very unstable and almost anything can trigger your emotions to lead to depression. Im just more thankful now to know that my husband and my family have always been very supportive in giving me their time to give me a break.

Overall, I would say that the workshop was very informative and I was surprised to also see The Asianparent being present at the workshop too! It was also lovely to see mothers from all walks of life attending the workshop to further understand 'healthy is the new happy'. To conclude my post, I would just like to emphasize that the overall idea of health equals happiness is to understand your body and your emotions so that you are in control of your feelings. Yes, being a parent may be hard at times, but being aware of your emotions would be a start to preventing depression. I hope you found this post insightful to make you realize to understand your emotions better. :)

Kitsui White Berries | No Sugar Beauty Supplement Drink

Reviewing Kitsui White Berries
I was given the opportunity to try the Kitsui White Berries which is suppose to be like a supplement to enhance your skin apperance. Without any hessitation, i was actually pretty excited to give this a go as its manufactured under a unique Korean Formula. Another secret ingredient this drink has would be the monk fruit. The monk fruit is unique as it contains no calories and carbohydrate, making it an ideal ingredient for those who want to control and monitor their calorie and carb intake.

There are tons of benefits of a monk fruit, and the few popular benefits are that it helps reduce acne, redness and prevents the skin from drying out. It also cleanses, relaxes cough, detoxifies the liver, boost energy and promotes weight loss. Its rich in Vitamin C which also makes in a miracle ingredient to solve anti-aging concerns as well. Each pack of Kitsuir White Berries contains 20 individual packs of 5grams, equavalent to 20 cups. Since my main concern would be so solve my dull skin and pigmentation issues, i thought this would be a great supplement to try, thus leading me to write this review.

Functions

20 individual sachets in one pack
For your information, the Kitsui White Berries has been designed to be friendly for those who are allegic to collagen and seafood. By consuming the Kitsui White Berries, it can help reduce oily skin, reduce large pores, brightens the skin and promotes smoother skin as well. My main concern being pigmentations, this has been ideally formulated to solve pigmentation skin problems. Its formulated with natural ingredients and you can actually see results as early as 7 days. Tried and tested, and i love the fact that it really does make my skin glow.

Preparation

It comes in powder form that smells rather fruity
Put it in a cup or shaker
And mix well. I prefer mixing it in a shaker cause its quicker
Its actually really easy to prepare this as you can just take 1 saachet and prepare it with either cold or warm water. I love the fact that its quick to prepare, especially when im always on the go. My personal preference, i would usually like to mix this with cold water cause it just taste like sweet berry juice. When preparing this, it's best to put it in a shake bottle and shake it so that the powder is well mixed. Once consumed, its best to consume at least 2 liters of water within the day for optimum results.

Before & After

Before consuming Kitsui White Berries
After 2 weeks of consuming Kitsui White Berries

Before i consumed this, my skin had really big open pores and trust me when i say that my skin looks really dull. Surprisingly on the 5th day of consuming this once daily, i noticed that my pores were minimized and my skin doesnt look dull anymore! It was literally 'i woke up like this' instastory moment, cause my skin was looking so good! My scars from previous acne's faded and overall, im pretty satisfied with my skin condition after 2 weeks. Im not sure if its my diet or because i've been consuming this, i really minimal breakouts cause my skin was actually looking smoother than usual.

Verdict

I would say that this works like a charm. #photonomakeup
As a verdict, i would have to say that the Kitsui White Berries works amazing on improving my skin's surface.  Its also a bonus that theres no sugar added and its designed to contain less calories and less carbohydrates, making it a perfect supplement that would not add up too much from your current diet. In terms of taste, i think this supplement drink has a really nice berry taste and it definitely beats the regular fishy taste of collagen.

For the price of less than RM50, i think thisa great way to cleanse your skin in terms of apperance and internally giving it the right nutrients it needs. Now you can finally skip your regular over the top weekly facials and consider the Kitsui white Berries to give your skin that natural glow. Hehe. In case youre wondering, you can get the Kitsui White Berreis from Watsons or Guardian stores near you. Budget 2020 | Work and get CASH Incentive For 2 Years

Are you a graduate and havent gotten your first job within a span of 1 year? Well, good news for you! With the Budget 2020 being out all over the news, i like to focus on a segment under the Ministry of Youth and Sports where there is a fair allocation of amount that has been distributed to Malaysian@work programme. Under the Malaysian@work programme, there are 4 programs currently running, namely Graduates@work, Womens@work, Locals@work and Apprentice@work. If this is your first time hearing about it, let me break it down for you through this blogpost and hopefully you find this helpful by the end of the post.

Graduates@work

Under Graduates@work, the budget has been specifically allocated to encourage graduates who have not gotten a job after 12 months of graduating to work and contribute their skills into developing the country's industry. And yes, this means if you have not worked within 12 months after graduating, and started working on your 13 month since graduation, you will be entittled to get an incentif wage of RM500 a month for 2 years. As for the employers, they will be getting an additional RM300 a month for hiring graduates for 2 years from the budget. A good time to work if you havent gotten your first job yet after graduating.

Womens@work

Now this segment specifically highlights benefits for the ladies. For the female workers of Malaysia, to those who have stopped working for more than a year OR who are within the age gap of 30 to 50, you will be entittled to get an incentif of RM500 a month for 2 years. Currently being a housewife at the moment, i understand that some females out there with kids struggle to get back on track with having a career, and with this budget allocation being allocated, i would also hope that employers would also give females an opportunity to work as they too will benefit in gaining an incentif of RM300 per month for hiring those under this category. So, ladies, if you have gotten your life sorted with your kids, 2020 is a good time to get a job!

Locals@work

For Locals@work, this goes to those who are working to replace the jobs of foreign workers. Through this action, he government aims to reduce the number of foreign workers in Malaysia in order to improve the economical state of the Malaysia. So, if you categorize yourself under this category, you will be entittled to earn an extra incentif wage of RM250/RM500 for 2 years for replacing foreign workers for the company. As for the employers, they will also benefit as RM250 will be given each month for offering jobs to locals instead of roreigners. There is also an increase wage pay of a minimum of RM1200 for those working in main cities and RM1100 for rural areas.

Apprentice@work

And the final program that is under the Malaysian@work would be the Apprentice@work. For TVET  (Technical and Voational Education and Training) trainers, there in an extra allowence of RM100 given by budget 2020. There is an extended tax incentive throughout 2 years for the Dual National Training Scheme and also provided for companies under structured training programs which involves all students.

With the Budget 2020 being distributed to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, i find this a great progress from the government to further improve our economical status. By giving a better opportunity to Malaysians to work, this may strenghten our financial status with locals working under their expertise. Also as the people of Malaysia, have you ever wondered what you can do to help Malaysia be in a better state of the economy? Well, to simplify, i would suggest you to support local goods and possibly work in fields that may contribute to our industry. A small gesture goes a long way, so take a moment to really decide a future for yourself that would not only benefit yourself but also help Malaysia grow.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS

As a personal position im in. I've resigned from my corporate job in July and currently unemployed for about 3 months now. Having a newborn at home really does have its struggle when you want to find your way back into the working industry as daycare fees are expensive! Nevertheless, its good to see that theres a Women@work budget allocation where if i have not worked for as long as a year, i will then be entittled to get an incentif of RM500 a month. Hopefully by then my baby would be a little more bigger and manageable. RM500 may not be as much monthly, but it may help with paying daycare fees as i stabalize myself with working again. I hope that most of you would take up this opportunity in utilising the budget allocation as a youth and as the people of Malaysia. Lets look forward to a better 2020!

Budget 2020 | Ministry of Youth and Sports

Let's talk about Malaysia's Budget 2020. The budget talk has been all over the news today and I find the insights are very important in order to keep up with the economy as an individual. Not many of us realize how much impact these budgets determined by the government would affect the people of Malaysia on the ways we spend, sell and run our business. According to the news, the public should be aware that we are moving towards the evolution of technology, and this would improve the infrastructure of the development of Malaysian culture and the growth quality of the nation. With that being said, let's cover more on the Ministry of Youth and Sports since im considered under the youth sector.

For those who know me, you'd be aware that I graduated with a master's degree when I was 24. Within the past 3 years, I've worked for 2 companies to gain experience and now going back blogging since I have a newborn with me now. To keep up myself updated with the news, I've taken some time to listen to the Budget 2020 talk in hopes that im not left behind in the development of the economy. For those who have missed out on this, let me share with you some insights on a favorite topic of mine on the news which covers the Youth and Sports development programs that the government has to offer.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

For the youth development budget, the government has announced that there will be an allocation of RM138 Million that would be spread out under 3 programs namely Youth Power Club (YPC), Malaysia Future Leader School (MFLS) and Volunteerism Initiatives. With that amount of budget being allocated, i really hope that there will be an appropriate opportunity being given to the youth of Malaysia to make a living and possibly contribute to the nation on industrial development locally. KBS also will ensure that his provision is used to implement a comprehensive action plan for youth development in line with the Vision of 2030.

SPORTS DEVELOPMENT

Under the sport's development, the news has announced that there will be an allocation of RM179 Million that would be contributed to the International Sports Program in which most likely will be to send out or sports team to Tokyo Olympics 2020, Hanoi SEA Games 2021 and also to support in training our Paralympic Athletes as well.

E-SPORTS

Under the E-sports section, there is an allocation of RM20 Million. The e-Sports industry is an important medium for building future generations, especially when the world is moving towards a digital era. It is one of the leading digital world movements and it doesn't limit to only gaming but also a step for young people to get ready for the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

And looking into our national sport, there's increased allocation of RM45 Million for the National Football Development Program (NFDP). Since we have an outstanding performance of national football players, the program has opened the eyes of many people both domestically and abroad. The government recognizes the importance and supports this effort by increasing the allocation from RM15 Million in 2019 to RM45 Million by 2020 through the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

MALAYSIANS@WORK

And under the Malaysian@work sector, there are divided into four programs namely Graduates@work, Womens@work, Locals@work, and Apprentice@work. With these 4 programs being available and active, it would give an opportunity to provide workers with incentives and gain incentives for employers. This initiative will be managed by EPF and will be updated with employment insurance systems as well. With an expected cost of RM6.5 Billion over the next 5 years, the government will create an estimate of 350,000job opportunities Malaysians and reduce the dependency of foreign workers.

As a conclusion, im pretty happy to see that there is an allocation under the Womens@work program where women who are between the age of 30-50 and has stopped working for a year, they will be eligible to receive RM500 a month for a period of 2 years as a wage incentive. And as for employers, they will get RM300 a month who hire female workers for a period of 2 years. With all these budget talks today, I really hope that the economy of Malaysia will further improve its status by giving better job opportunities and encourage the growth of the nation by encouraging Malaysians to strive to serve the nation. So that being said, do share with me on what youre expectations are out of this breakdown on our Budget for 2020.
