Kopetro launches Vehicle Road Tax and Takaful with the ProLindung Platform

PETRONAS Berhad Staff Cooperative(KOPETRO) has launched an online platform known as proLindung, which allows users to renew their vehicle road tax and takaful more easily, quickly and securely. KOPETRO chairman, Encik Roslan Abdul Rahim said, this platform is another KOPETRO initiative to help improve the quality of life of cooperative members and the general public who use their services.

"In the increasingly fast digital era, proLindung will play an important role in providing convenience to users to renew their vehicle road tax and takaful more efficiently. This platform is specially designed to facilitate users in renewing their vehicle road tax and takaful with just a few clicks ," he said in his speech at the launch ceremony held at KOPETRO's 'Raya Bersama' Aidilfitri Council.

He explained that proLindung aspires to provide comprehensive protection to all customers, and this is incorporated into the name of the platform. Mr. Rolan added, proLindung was produced taking into account the needs and user needs. He also called on all users to try proProtect and give them feedback so that this platform can improved and developed.

In addition to providing comprehensive protection, KOPETRO members can choose to pay for takaful protection in monthly installments through salary deductions. In conjunction with the launch of proLindung today, KOPETRO is providing an RM50 discount to the first 50 customers who renew their road tax and vehicle takaful through the proLindung online platform. Representatives from the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM) and the Malaysian National Cooperative Force (Angkasa) were also present at the launch ceremony, as were members of the Cooperative Board, representatives, members of the Internal Audit Committee, and KOPETRO's management line. 

KOPETRO also hosted an Aidilfitri ceremony recently, which was attended by over 2,000 guests, including cooperative members, KOPETRO employees, and cooperative business partners. The 'Take Control of Your Asthma' campaign aims to educate participants on the need of using controller medicine for the long-term management and treatment of asthma symptoms, rather than depending simply on reliever medication. 

Speaking on the Breathe Better campaign, Dr. Helmy said, “It is crucial to increase the knowledge and awareness of the public on how to manage asthma. Getting diagnosed early is vital in order to prevent attacks that can be both disabling and draining. Early and proper control with appropriate medication will not only prevent severe illness, but improve one’s quality of life especially in the face of haze and ongoing risks of respiratory infections.” “This campaign also serves as an opportunity for healthcare professionals and individuals with asthma to come together and share their experiences and insights with the aim of improving asthma care and management in Malaysia,” Dr. Helmy added.

The World Asthma Day 2023 event at 1 Mont Kiara included educational activities and an exhibition highlighting critical educational themes about asthma, providing as a vital platform for the public to better comprehend and get first-hand knowledge of this respiratory condition.
