Wacoal The Store Opening Launch in Fahrenheit88

What: Opening Launch of Wacoal The Store
Where: Fahrenheit88, Ground Floor
When: 1pm - 4pm

Actually i received an email a week ago on the event, and i was super honoured to be attending the event.  Basically the Wacoal Opening Launch was an eventful event as this particular store is the first Wacoal stand alone store in Malaysia. A big accomplishment for Wacoal, congrats to Wacoal! So here are some photos on the event, and guess what the snacks were? CANDY! Im a sucker for candy. They had marshmallows, Jelly Beans, Cupcakes, gummy candies and more.

Noticed whats behind the cupcake? OH YES! Thats our Miss Malaysia winner in 2013, presenting Melinder Bhullar!
Yummier than the cupcake? YOU BET!

So basically managed to get myself a photo with Miss Malaysia, aint she beauts? The event officially started with a speech by the Wacoal representer who flew all the way from Japan. And then followed by celebrity guest who were there to launch the store. OH, not to forget their live mannequins too. Gorgeous mannequins, tall and so REAL.

Whats an event without mandatory photos of mua at the event? hehe. So here are some shots of me taken during the event. From photos with live mannequins to a photo with the Miss Malaysia 2013.

Mannequin number 1
With Melinder Bhullar, a.k.a Miss Malaysia 2013.
(Didn't realise we had the same style in posing. hehe)

Mennequin number 2

Sorry if my photos we're THAT entertaining, but i couldn't really take too much photos at the time. My bad. Anyways, i would like to thank wacoal for having me at the event, and also for being an amazing lingerie seller to suit any women needs in the world. Not to forget to thank you for the goodie bag as well. What was in the goodie bag was a voucher worth RM30, a pink purse by Wacoal and also super comfy Wacoal panties! Loving every one of it. Thank you Wacoal. xx

Oh well, thats all for now. Hope you enjoyed reading about the event. If you would like to personally check out their store, here's the address for your convenience.

#MSMYSS14

If you're wondering what #MSMYSS14 stands for, its actually Miss Selfridge, Malaysia, Spring Summer 2014 and generally the hashtag is the official has tag for the event. Was lucky enough to be invited to the fashion show, the fact that i actually enjoy the environment, especially the high end fashion stylers. Not to forget to dress up for events, thats one of the most exciting things to do when you attend an event.

What: The Miss Selfridge, Spring Summer Fashion Show 2014
Where: Centre Court, Ground Floor, Mid Valley Megamall
When: 7pm

So, as usual, shots were taken as you enter, and not that i look fabulous or anything, but i felt like going tribal orange. Here's a shot of what I'm wearing:

What I'm wearing: Alexander Wang - Diego Bucket Bag, Wallis - Tribal Dress, Diva - Accessoriess and H&M - Metal Back Heels.

Coincidently, the new collection for miss selfridge was all about, glitter, tribal and pastel. So i guess i was somewhat in theme. (YAY ME!) Anyway, special celebrity guess who attended the fashion show were:

Special local celebrity Guest: Gan Mei Yan, Jun Yong (Emcee), Isabella Kuan, Cathryn Li, Juwei Teoh

Stage Setting.

Opening Ceremony, make up by She Uemura on Isabella Kuan.
The people attending the event.
Well, if you're not sure who there are, you should click here on their names to find out more. Jun Yong, Isabella Kuan, Cathryn Li, Juwei Teoh. Moving on, here are some shots of some of my favourite outfits.

So, my love at first sight was i think i know what you're thinking, YES, the mint fishtail dress. OMG, its was love i tell you! Couldn't keep my eyes off it when it was on the run way. So guess what? i did something pretty crazy. I went to Miss Selfridge after the show, then tried the dress out since i loved it so much. if you're wondering how it looks like, here how it looks like on me.

Gorgeous aint it? It was pretty costly too since its Miss Selfridge. But boy i love the dress so much. AND to make it worst, it was the last one! So after 30 minutes of thinking, and deciding, i told myself to just get it. AND I DID! It was worth my one month pay, but money comes and go, so i guess its not too big of a deal.

Guess who i met at the event?

My fabulous personal shopper, Denver Leong.
And if you're wondering, here are my dates for the event.

Thayjis Amar and Chai Yu Kee.
Well thats all for now, i hope you enjoyed reading this post. Till my next post alright?

The Great Guardian Make Over ‘My Date with Beauty’

My tickets to the event.
What: My Date with Beauty
Where: 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Ground Floor, Centre Court
When: 6th April 2014, 11am-7pm

Hello, so here's whats up! I was at this years Great Guardian Makeover at One Utama Shopping Centre, and the theme was " My Date with Beauty". So basically what is it about? Pretty much a date with beauty, literally! How did i get to be a part of the event? Didn't really have to try hard actually. Pretty much for anyone who wants to join. To be a part of the event is simple, basically you need to purchase above RM20 of any of the participating brand, at guardian, and then you will entitled to purchase the Make Over ticket for only RM10.

Whats in for paying RM10? Well, participants will be given a makeover, a goodie bag and a personalised mini photo to bring home. For RM10, i think its pretty much  fair deal don't you think so? Plus, since its happening on a weekend, why not add some fun in the agenda. Woop woop! So, the makeover will be done by a dedicated team from A Cut Above Academy, and we were given options to choose from! Below would be some of the options that we were given for the makeover.

The Guardian Goodie Bag (psstt, it was pretty heavy too)

Hairstyle Menu, i picked braided curls.

Make-Up Menu, i picked glam.

This is me getting my hair done.

And this is me, getting my make up done.
And the results:

After Hair do, Before Make Up

After Hair do + Make Up

So what do you think about my transformation? I feel like a butterfly, flying away from the event when its all over. And thats not all! We had to go through a photo session after, but i didn't really like the photo so much. Even so, definitely worth spending my sunday at the event. Love the hair, the make up, such fabulousity! Wouldn't you agree with me?

And after all that was done and over with, i still had time to shop around the area as they were having promotions on products by participating brands. There were 18 participating brands, which were L'oreal Paris, Maybelline New York, Avene, Bio Essence, Alcon, BioGrow Oat BG22, Biore, Blackmores, Brands, Bermatic, Enchanteur, Hada Labo, Nano White, Neutrogena, Nivea, Oslee, Palmer's and also Safi. They had major promotions, and i had my eyes on Maybelline actually. Bought a lot of amazing stuff at a fraction of the price. *doubledrools*

Oh, did i mention what was in the goodie bag? TONS OF THINGS! And its definitely worth more than what i paid for. So much win!

Goodie Bag Goods.

Ok, i promise this is the last thing i'll be talking about. After the event, i had this 'small' photoshoot and here are some of the shots. Nothing special, but its more of an hashtag OOTD post. hehe.

My hashtag outfit of the day. #ootd
My favourite shot.
Well, i promised that this would be the last (for now that is). hehe. I really had fun at my date with beauty. And Guardian, if you're reading this, THANK YOU FOR SUCH AN AMAZING TIME! Will be looking forward for the next event you're hosting. And I'm glad to be a part of the great guardian make over.

much love,

Whats so special about these babies? Well, the perks of being a design student, these flip-flops are one of a kind.  After doing some intensive research on their collection, the Illustrations redone by work-renowned American illustrator Gil Elvgren. And boy, his illustrations are amazing, symbolising a typical woman being a goddess without even trying. Who wouldn't want to own these pairs? Well, can't keep my hopes up too high, but i'll keep my fingers crossed. And if you haven't seen Gil Elvgren's artworks before, here are some of my personal favourites.

That Low Down Feeling, 1957 - Gil Elvgren
Up in the Air (Wooooooosh) - Gil Elvgren 1965

Gil Elvgren - Girls on the Beach Gil Elvgren (1914-1980)
Effortless don't you think? His artwork focusses on the womanly features of a woman and i think he really showed the world how whatever we girls do, we don't even have to try hard to look good (; Well, why do i want these pairs for my own? Simple! Its because i simply love Gil Elvgren, and to own one of these flip-flops by havaianas would be a true blessing as a sign that i have to appreciate my curves of simply being a woman. I mean, after looking at his artworks, it shows how real a woman should really looks like, rather than a size zero to symbolise 'sexy'. You can see from the size of the thighs and the tummy area are what makes any woman looks natural shown in his artwork, and i believe that in every woman, we need that confidence to be proud of what we have. RIGHT GIRLS?! :) I wear a size 5 or an average 37 btw. And here is an edited photo just for fun.
