Living in Malaysia has all it perks and my extreme favourite perk would be when it comes to food! So today, I'm going to share with you an amazing discovery for those who crave for Mediterranean cuisine or Lebanese cuisine in Kuala Lumpur. Byblos aims to put a new spin on Lebanese cuisine that caters to a wide demographic of diners, all who share the same love of good food and great environment.

Im sure you’d be wondering why is it called Byblos? Since I had the same question in my head, I’ll tell you why! Byblos is apparently a name of an ancient city in Lebanon. The city is one of the worlds most ancient city that can be traced as far back as 7000 to 8000 BCE (That’s long!). Thus drawing towards sustaining the history and culture of this city, Byblo’s Café & Lounge was born to give a chance to Malaysians and Foreigners a taste of the real Lebanon food and atmosphere.

I’ve attached some photos I’ve taken while I was there, and you have to agree that the scenery and the interior does makes you feel as if you're experiencing the real Lebanon experience yourself. Wait till you start smelling the food, cause the ambiance did excite me to look forward to my dish.

The menu contains traditional favourites such as Hummus, Moutabal, and Tabbouleh, honed and perfected from over two of decades of cooking using only the freshest organic ingredients! It's good to know that they practice in providing organic ingredients, as there's not much places I know who highlights the importance of serving organic ingredients in their dishes. Other items such as Shawarma, Falafel , oriental lamb hot breads and desserts all which are homemade and prepared fresh daily. I was also told that all their staffs are required to undergo three weeks of intensive training to ensure they meet the required standards of customer service too!

So since i was invited to give them a review, these were the recommended dishes to try if its your first time there. And if you ask me, it definitly tinggled my taste buds. If i had to pick my top 2 favourites, it would be the Mixed Grill and the Tabbouleh cause its so damn good! The tabbouleh is actually fresh parsley, tomatoes, onions, and burgul wheat topped with lemon, olive oil and spices, while the mixed grill had beef, chicken breast, and lamb in one platter that comes with a side of hummus, garlic sauce, tomatoes, pickles, onion and french fries. Hehe. The rest were equivalently up to standard, just that i noticed that i had my eyes on the Mixed grill and Tabbouleh more.

I gave a chance on trying the Homemade Mint Lemonade since it was recommended by one of their friendly staffs. It had a tingy yet minty taste, but it was really refreshing as it did compliment the flavours in my mouth after having a few bites of the main entree. So if you happen to be there, i'd suggest you to give this drink a go.

If youre looking for a place to chill and have coffee or tea, gotta love it when they're served the traditional way, and in this case, it would be the Labanese way. Coffee, Tea, and Hot chocolate are priced between RM8 - RM15 depending on what you order, so i would say that the pricing is fairly reasonable. Looking for an afternoon date of Labanese flavours, Byblo's would be the place to be!

Im not a shisha lover, but if youre looking for an entirely different shisha expereince with a view, well Byblo's has got it covered for you. The owner specifically highlighted the fact that they use this high quality Shishapresso which was specially brought into Malaysia, and currently only avaialble at Byblo's Cafe & Lounge. And on top of that, you have ana amazing view to enjoy as you shisha away. Imagine the scenry at night guys, OMG!

So yeap guys, i guess that about it! I've also attached a full on photo of what i had on that day, and im sorry if it got you drooling. Hehe. Well, i guess the only thing that i havent mentioned would be the location. It may be a little hard to find the place if you have never been around the area, but i'll just share you the address below and a photo of the path way which you're required to take when you're within the area.
Its located at The Hive, TREC, Jalan Tun Razak, 54000 Kuala Lumpur, or in other words, its where Zouk is located at. Next to Zouk, you will see a stretch of shoplots, and as you walk down further, you'll see another site that may look a little empty since its still new. So once you've reach to the area of the attached photo above, walk futher ahead and it should be located on your left. Althernatively, you can also give them a call for directions. Hehe. Well, thats all for now. Just talking about this, actually made me feel like i need to head back to Byblo's for another dose of Tabbouleh and Mix grilled. Yums!
