I dont normally talk about gadgets, but when i do, its only because its worth talking about! About a week ago, Dell recently launched the new 5000 and 7000 Inspiron laptops with 2 in 1 functionality, and trust me, the minute i found out about the specifications, im fully hooked onto it! This has to be one of the BEST windows laptop that has to be on your wish list and its 110% definitely on mine. Being a travel junkie, i believe that this laptop has been specifically designed to be super convenient to bring around during travels, and its multifunctional too!

And now, im telling you that Dell has done a great job in elevation the computing experience for everyday tech consumers. ArtScience Museum presents All Possible Paths: Richard Feynman's Curious Life

Science enthusiasts, the brilliant and multi-faceted life of Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Richard Feynman, is currently showcasing at the ArtScience Museum in a brand new exhibition that has been unveiled on 20 October. In case you haven't heard of Richard Feynman, he was an American theoretical physicist known for his work in the path of the integral formulation of quantum mechanics who basically contributed to the history of science.

Curated and produced by ArtScience Museum, in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) and Nobel Museum in Sweden, All Possible Paths:Richard Feynman’s Curious Life celebrates the extraordinary achievements of Feynman. It is developed to mark Feynman’s centenary, which is being celebrated around the world this year, with conferences and festivities, including a major scientific conference, Richard Feynman at 100 (22 – 24 October), at NTU.

All Possible Paths will show how Feynman contributed to our understanding of the mechanisms of the universe, through his pioneering work on quantum mechanics. Feynman was known for his work in quantum mechanics, the basis of modern physics, and for many technological advances that now support our everyday lives. 

While Feynman is best known for his work in physics – receiving a Nobel Prize in 19651 –the exhibition also highlights how his curious nature and unconventional thinking drove him to explore many possibilities in life, including art and music. As one of three recipients of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1965, Feynman improved the theory of quantum electrodynamics. The refined theory predicted and explained ways in which particles interact during collisions.

“ArtScience Museum is delighted to present, All Possible Paths, a new exhibition, curated in- house by our team, working in dialogue with NTU and Nobel Museum. It marks the centenary of one of the most influential physicists of the 20th century, Richard Feynman. Far from being a traditional biographical exhibition, All Possible Paths uses both art and science, as well as striking contemporary design, to convey the importance and relevance of Feynman's work for today’s audiences. In the center of the show, installations, sculptures and immersive environments created by contemporary artists will take visitors deeper into Feynman's science through the medium of art. This is a unique show, celebrating a unique figure in science, and we are excited to launch it, in tandem with the Richard Feynman at 100 conferences, which will bring world-renowned scientists and Nobel Prize winners to Singapore,” said Honor Harger, Executive Director of ArtScience Museum.

“It could not be more appropriate that ArtScience Museum in Singapore produces this wonderful exhibition on Richard Feynman's work. During his lifetime, Feynman was a world-famous physicist, but he was also deeply involved in art. Feynman moved between fields in a very natural and inspiring way. He is a source of inspiration for generations of young scientists and the way he enlarged his intellectual territory by involving himself in activities such as painting and music should be a role model for all of us. The Nobel Museum in Stockholm is very proud to collaborate with ArtScience Museum – a unique institution in the world – on this project,” Dr Olov Amelin, Museum Director of Nobel Museum.

All Possible Paths will also showcase a collection of Feynman’s personal items, documents, and letters, on loan from institutions and individuals from around the world. More than 10 eminent scientists from all over the world will also converge at Richard Feynman at 100, a three-day conference held on NTU’s campus from 22 October. They will be sharing their thoughts on Feynman’s contribution to science and society, and on the importance of innovation and translational research excellence in academia.

Gallery Highlights

Presented in four thematic sections, All Possible Paths transports visitors into the world of one of the world’s most important scientists of modern times.

Journey into Feynman's eventful Life

The first section of the exhibition takes visitors on a journey into Feynman’s eventful life. Some of Feynman’s diverse interests included playing the bongo drums, cracking safes, a fascination with the small Russian republic of Tuva, and painting. Feynman discovered his passion for painting after a series of good-natured arguments on art and science with his artist friend, Jirayr Zorthian. Zorthian gave Feynman art lessons in return for physics lessons. Visitors to the show will get a rare glimpse of personal letters, family photos, Feynman’sfamous bongo drums, and a number of his paintings, which are being exhibited outside of the United States for the first time.

A much-loved professor at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Feynman was a spellbinding communicator of science. His flair for explaining complex scientific theories inan accessible and exciting way earned him the moniker, “The Great Explainer”. Visitors to All Possible Path will have the opportunity to experience a series of Feynman’s lectures in the second section of the exhibition. They will witness first-hand Feynman’s showmanship, accompanied by his clever and vivid explanations, which captivated his audiences.

In the third section of the exhibition, ArtScience Museum will present scientific topics core Feynman's work. Feynman, unlike other theoretical physicists, had a visual approach to the problems he was trying to solve. The section will see scientific concepts paired with artworks made by contemporary artists which will take visitors deeper into the science. The artists include British digital artist, Markos R. Kay, Belgian artist, Frederik de Wilde, Thailand- based Japanese media artist, Eiji Sumi, Russian media artist, ::vtol:: American data visualization pioneer, Edward Tufte, German artists from the nano+art competition and Malaysian artist, Jun Ong.

Drawing inspiration from Feynman’s way of thinking, the artworks act as an introduction toquantum mechanics and provide artistic representations of six important scientific areas: Parton Theory, Weak Force, Quantum Electrodynamics, Feynman Diagrams, Nanotechnology, and Quantum Computers.

New type of Pulsar, Animation

The final section of the exhibition examines how Feynman’s scientific contributions helpedre-interpret physics and supported research that led to several more Nobel Prizes. Nobel Laureate Frank Wilczek’s hand-drawn Feynman diagrams have been animated and will be shown for the first time in All Possible Paths. A video depicting a celebration for Feynman in Tuva will also be shown, allowing visitors to comprehend the far-reaching impact Feynman's legacy in one of the most remote parts of the world.

All Possible Paths will run from 20 October 2018 till 3 March 2019.

Thus, I personally fancy lipsticks that are versatile in creating different looks, one of it being an exclusive brand by Swanicoco.

In case you haven't heard of Swanicoco, the brand holds a very repetutive image being one of the top natural cosmetic companies in the Republic of Korea. Juliet red being 1 out of the 3 limited edition shades, on a first impression, I was pretty shocked at how bright the shade is! Initially was a little worried on whether if the tone would suit my skin, and surprisingly, the colour is stunning! Upon swatching, i also noticed that the pigmentation of this formulation is very good as you'll only need 1 swipe to apply it over your lips. The shade features a reddish undertone orange that can be buildable based on your personal prefference. (Scroll below to see what im talking about.)

Starting off with the texture, I personally LOVE the texture the minute I slide it over my lips. Trust me, I am not exaggerating. Despite giving my lips a very matte velvety texture, I am truly impressed that it doesnt leave my lips feeling dry at all. In fact, I feel that im lip condition improved after using the Swanicoco in Juliet Red consistently for about a week. It actually feels very lightweight, comfortable and soft throughout the day, but if youre a heavy (messy) eater, then reapplication may be required.

WAYS TO WEAR IT

Being a brand from Korea, there are 2 very popular ways of using this. One being the tinted lips where there is a gradient of colors starting from the inner lips moving outwards. The other way of using this would be to apply it all over the lips, for a full lip look. I actually like that it has this tinted feature as they make beauty look so effortless in a sense where you can choose to wear it in a casual everyday makeup look or go full on Grab with full lips.

VERDICT

Whats my say on Swanicoco

As a verdict, I would have to say that the formulation of this lipstick definitely won my heart. Other than feeling very lightweight and comfortable on the lips, I also noticed that my lips look so much healthier after constantly using this over a few days. I have cracked lips when its left dehydrated for too long, and the Swanicoco Velvet Lipstick did a swell job in keeping my lips looking moist and healthy. Currently, it retails at RM98.72 (Promotion price: RM88.85) on 50gram.com.my, and I would consider the price to be slightly steep, but functionality wise, I make you look great while it improves your lip texture. Why pay for a lip mask when a lipstick can get all the job done for you? Hehe. Honestly, I can't wait to get the other 2 shades that are yet soon to arrive in Malaysia!

Minimalism: Space. Light. Object.

Art lovers, its time to plan your holiday ahead as the National Gallery Singapore and ArtScience Museum are collaborating for the first time to present the region’s first exhibition focusing on Minimalism. Coming from a background of architecture, I tend to always be asked on what represents minimalism? I believe, other than me vocally explaining it each and every time, this is your chance to actually experience being in a space presenting minimalism. Led by the Gallery and set across these two sites, over 130 works will explore the history and legacy of this groundbreaking art movement, which continues to influence a wide range of art forms and practitioners across the world today.

Dr. Eugene Tan, Director of National Gallery Singapore said, “This institutional collaboration will enable us to extend the scale of the exhibition, to further examine the many rich and complex dimensions of this significant artistic tendency, which has had such an enormous influence on contemporary art and design but has been little seen in Southeast Asia. Its profound impact will become evident through the exhibition set across both venues, each of which will have a distinct focus in our examination of Minimalism. This will further allow both institutions to reach out to and engage different audiences, due to our respective localities and programmatic focus. We hope to further enhance our understanding of Minimalism and its legacies for art today through this exhibition.”

The curatorial teams at both museums have worked together to create a coherent single exhibition that shows how Minimalism became a radical turning point in the history of 20th-century art, stepping away from the experience of art as an object, to the consideration of the spatial, social and political contexts in which art exists. Playing to our strength as a museum of both science and art, ArtScience.

Museum will present artwork which meditates on the notions of the cosmological void, emptiness, and nothingness – principles which are resonant to both Minimalism and to science. Our show seeks to exemplify the comment often attributed to Albert Einstein that, ‘everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.’” The exhibition will provide a re-examination of Minimalism’s origins, broadening the scope beyond New York to consider related tendencies around the world. A key aspect is the ongoing engagement of Minimal art with Asian art and spirituality in the work of Asian, American and European artists.

The Gallery’s exhibition will explore the development of Minimal art and ideas from the 1950s to the present day, tracing its shift from painting to sculpture and then to spatial installations and immersive environments. It will feature works by some of the most significant artists of the past 70 years, including Mark Rothko (USA, 1903-1970), Donald Judd (USA, 1928-1994); Yayoi Kusama (Japan, 1929- ); Charlotte Posenenske (Germany, 1930-1985); Lee Ufan (Korea/Japan 1936- ); Olafur Eliasson (Denmark/Iceland, 1967- ); Anish Kapoor (India/UK 1954- ); Ai Weiwei (China, 1957- ); Po Po (Myanmar, 1957- ) as well as Singaporean artists Kim Lim (1963-1997) and Tang Da Wu (1943- ).

ArtScience Museum will present a thematic exhibition exploring form, colour and spirituality, including the work of influential artists such as Carmen Herrera (Cuba-USA, 1915- ); Mona Hatoum (Lebanon/UK, 1952- ) and Richard Long (UK, 1945- ) as well as contemporary artists Song Dong (China, 1966- ); Tan Ping (China, 1960- ); Charwei Tsai (Taiwan/France/Vietnam, 1980- ) and teamLab (Japan, 2001- ). Singaporean artist Jeremy Sharma (Singapore, 1977- ) will also be showcasing his new commission at the exhibition. ArtScience Museum will also explore the impact and legacies of minimalist sound and experimental composition within a dedicated Sound Room.

Throughout the duration of the exhibition, special programmes at both venues will feature music, film, dance and interactive installation, showing the close engagement of other art forms with Minimalism. Hey, guys so today I'll be sharing with you a thing or two about my everyday breakfast. Being over my mid-twenties I realized that my bones are getting weaker in a sense that my knees are weak when it comes to supporting and I am experiencing that my body weight is getting so much heavier to carry on a daily basis. If you think that milk is only for drinking then you are wrong. There are honestly so many ways to enjoy milk and just to share with you a few examples of dishes that I like to pair with milk. Typically most people like to enjoy their milk with cereal but for me, I like to enjoy milk with my fruits my toast and even pancakes! If I get a little busy to prepare my breakfast I would secretly use banana and milk to make my pancakes fluffy and creamy in texture, trust me it's sooo good! Never underestimate the power of milk.

I started consuming milk when I was 25 diligently which was when I realized that my bones were getting weaker and it has approximately been about a year now and I am so thankful that my bones do feel so much stronger than before. Other than that, milk also strengthens immune system nourishes dry skin makes teeth strong and healthy and also improves healthy digestion that gives your skin that healthy glow and improve body health as well. Milk is rich sources of calcium and minerals, and it's a great way to maintain your body strength and health by just consuming a glass of milk every day.
