With almost 1,500 participants gathered on a Sunday morning, it was actually really nice to see individuals waking up at 7am to be a part of the Be My Reason Shower Run to show their support for the breast self-check, in conjunction with breast cancer awareness month. I persoanlly have a family member who i call her a hero for surviving Breast Cancer. Both her breast were removed, but thankfully, with the amount of love and support received, i guess that made her strong enough to survive through the journey of having breast cancer. So i say why not support this meaninful campaign right?

The Be My Reason Shower Run was organized by Shokubutsu, the leading shower foam brand in Malaysia, with the purpose to encourage women and men to raise awareness on the importance of early detection of breast cancer by doing regular breast self-checks during your shower. This also happens to be the second Pink Ribbon campaign by the brand that is an extension fo the road shows undertaken last year.

I have to admit that the shower theme was the highlight of the event, and it was interesting to see some of the participants literally transforming into out of the shower outfits. Hehe. The run was foamed with shower bubbles and we ended the race by being showered with water, just to be in line with the breast self-check during shower awareness focus. It was definitely a fun way to enjoy sunday morning with your loved ones, while having a good reason to pledging to do breast self checks.

We had Jackie Low, Marketing Manager, Personal Care Products Department, Southern Lion Sdn Bhd who said that he believed that breast self-check is a very important habit to cultivate because early detection can save lives. And i have to say that i couldnt agree more! It only takes you less than a minute to give yourself (and your breast) some love and attention, especially when you shower at least once a day.

The campaign is fully supported by the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) who is partnering with Shokubutsu for the scond time! Also presented at the event was renowned Malaysian actor, Beto Kusyairy who ran with his wife, Tisha Shahar as an act of support for the campaign. Tisha detected a small lump in her breast not too long ago while doing breast self-check and fortunately the lump turned out to be benign, thus Tisha encourages all women to turn breast self-check into a habit.

The event ended with a RM25,000 cheque presented to NCSM during the run to contribute towards the good works that NCSM is doing in raising awareness and educating on breast self-check. The money was raised from the RM10 fee of the Be My Reason Shower Run and RM0.10 from every unit of Shokubutsu liquid shower produts sold at participating stores. The Shokubutsu Pink Ribbon campaign runs from 1 October 2016- 30 October 2016.

I have to highlight that they were generous with their goodie bags and im sure that i spotted a lot of happy participants carrying home a heavy bag of detergent and soaps. Hehe. Well, i know i was! A great way to start a Sunday Morning with a reward that would last you at least a month or two. [REVIEW] Street Churros Malaysia

Ever crave for Churros but you never know where to get the best Churros in Malaysia? Fret not, cause Street Churros has finally made its way to Malaysia with 2 outlets launched in IOI Putrajaya Mall and the most recent in 1 Utama. But before I go in depth on the menu, im going to give a little introduction on Street Churros. Street churros started in Korea where they are crazy over street food and they have a mission, where they want to elevate street food with premium, fresh ingredients and the culinary genius of our 5 star chefs. With their goal being based on customer satisfaction, its a treat not to be missed.

This would be the 1 Utama outlet which recently opened in September and i have to say that passing by a store selling fresh churros, its pretty hard to resist the temptation. The menu features churros, ah-chu, filling-chu, latte's and ade. The store setting is actually pretty small, but churros are meant to be enjoyed when youre on the go, so just a tiny tip that if youre planning to dine in, dont.

The churros are freshly made to be crispy, made to order and lightly dusted with their home made sugar toppings. It comes in 3 original flavours, which would be cinnamon, chocolate and cheese. I was told that Cinnamon  is the best-seller as churros are usually dusted in cinnamon, but if you love something sweet and chocolatey go for the chocolate flavored churros! For savory lovers, churros in cheese would be worth a shot.

Ah-chu on the other hand is basically mini churros with new guinea vanilla bean soft serve ice cream.  Enjoy it plain if you love the simple things in life, but add a little sauce of the top, it would be the perfect sundae on a hot day. Flavoured Ah-Chu comes in 3 flavours featuring chocochoco, chocoberry and strawberry.

And another option you can opt for at Street Churros would be Filling-Chu. This would be a more savory option if you love strong flavours. Comes in Blueberry, Cream Cheese and Chocolate Filling, but i have to say that i love my Churros to be filled with chocolate. Since the churros are naturally dusted in a cinnamon powder, the filling goes really compliments the flavours.

If you think that is all that Street Churros has to offer, think again. Street Churros also offers latte's, ade and milkshakes too! I honestly havent tried their latte's yet, but for my next visit, they are definitely on my must order list. For some fusion of gassy flavours, you can opt to try the passion fruit ade, perfect for those who crave for sweeter tastebuds, or lemon ade if you are a fan of sourish flavours.

Recently Street Churros just launched a new addition to their menu, featuring 3 milkshake flavours, namely O'My Mango, White Choco Real Banana Shake and I Love Strawberry. And since i was craving for some berries in my life, i decided to give the I Love Strawberry milkshake a go. Im loving the consistency of the milkshakes as i could actually tell that the fruits they used were fresh. But i managed to have a small chat with the store manager who recommended me to try their O'My Mango if youre not sure about what to try.

And let's face it, theme parks at night can be a little scary, it makes it worst when you see horror legends walking around trying to slaughter you as you walk pass by them.

I was thankful to be able to survive through the journey as I pass by the locker rooms, but as a personal insight, this would be the perfect ice-breaker for those who fears the dark as the journey is not as long as the other haunted houses.

In KEVIN HILL, there is a cold evil presented at the modern dystopian world where you will uncover a mix of cryogenically frozen zombies, brought to chilling hard-life following a massive explosion in the mysterious Kevin Hill Cryonics Corporation headquarters. Spooky as it is, you would be glad to see the exit as your run your way out to reality.

While I was walking through Horrorwood Studios, I have to say that I was frighten walking through a deserted alley of a zombie apocalypse. (You have been warned).

While you're there, you can keep a lookout for AH WINGS BUTCHER SHOP, the TANAH PERKUBURAN BUKIT LANG as you hear screams of the tortured souls and other horrifying zones which includes THE LONDON FOG, KEVIN HILL TOWNSHIP, THE ZOMBIE WALK and THE CLOWN COLLECTIVE. I have to say that the clowns were rather horrifying as they were not at all funny up close.

For doses of fun in between scares and scream, you can hop on their rides in a once in a year "after-dark" setting. Buckle up and take on favorites with a darker twist on your favorites as you keep yourself away from the ghost and monsters wandering through the theme park. I'm happy to see that they had a new list of horrifying attractions that are inspired by a combination of popular Asian and international folklores that will send chills down your spine.
