Giant’s New Branding | It's the little things that make a GIANT difference

Giant has always been there for consumers in Malaysia, and in 2021, Giant has decided to have a total rebrand of the iconic brand with the new logo that will travel across 57 stores to provide freshness and quality in their service. The 8th of April happens to be a day to remember in history as Giant unveils a whole new look while promising their loyal customers guranteed freshness, quality, and value. Taking a moment to reminisce about their establishment in 1944, they have definitely come a long way to built on Giant's position of being the low-price leader in Malaysia, to provide customers with the best value.

In conjunction with their new look, there will definitely be new offerings in stores! With many refreshed new offerings, here are some highlights to look forward to where they have over 2,000 new products across fresh food, groceries, and household essentials in-store to excite and delight customers. Another section that got me excited would be the 'World of Food' where customers would be able to enjoy an even wider selection of new imported food selections from all around the world, as well as local delicacies.

Another new section to check out would be the Ringgit zone, which will be available in selected Giant stores. It's a completely new proposition that reinforces Giant's position offering items that would cost at only RM3 across all categories within the section to cater to customers who are on a budget and enjoy good deals. Bargain hunters will surely find this section an exciting section to explore ranging from snacks to kitchenware, home, and personal care at a value deal of RM3 per item.

There will also be a General Merchandise Section which offers a reinvention of Giants General Merchandise range to deliver good quality products to over 700 new products from cooking needs, appliances, home storage, and organization items. There's also their Ready to Eat offerings at selected hypermarkets as well offering freshly baked delights every day from in-store bakeries with a wide range from bread and loaves to cakes and assorted buns.

And to also add more convenience to Giant Customers, there's also a new section that features Guardian stores that are placed in selected Giant hypermarkets, superstores, and supermarkets, giving shoppers a one-stop solution to get the best of both worlds. By the end of April, a total of 35 Giant stores will have the Guardian store-in-store for added convenience. If you would like to experience the store-in-store experience, Guardian is now available within Giant in Kota Damansara.

Another additional add-on would be that you can now find Meadows in Giant as well. To bring customers with greater quality and value, Dairy Farm launched Meadows, an own-brand offering globally sourced from high-quality food, with prices that are significantly more affordable than the equivalent brands. There are currently over 240 Meadows products launched which have been well received and customers can look forward to the launch of another 210 more Meadows products in the coming year.

We all know and love the prices at Giant stores, and this time around, Giant is committed to offering even better deals! Giant will be launching more Value Deals, offering multi-buy deals, festive essentials, category discounts of up to 50% as part of the launch. Just to name a few, you can get broccoli at RM3, tomatoes at RM2.95/kg, Siakap fish at RM6.95/pc, Jati Rice at RM 23.95, and in conjunction with the Ramadhan season, you can get dates at RM7.95/kg! Talk about affordability!

So what are you waiting for? If youre a regular Giant shopper, you may have realized that the new rebranded look is out, and to match the new branding, Giant is committed to improving service levels to match the brand new look and feel. With an Expanded shopping experience, Giant promises to deliver on a Giant difference. I have explored Giant personally just very recently prior to their rebranding, and I must say that Giant is on a roll with giving better service to their customers. Be sure to pop by any Giant Store near you to experience the difference.
