[REVIEW] Neutrogena | Dermatologist Recommended

Dont you hate days when you have dull skin? I know i do. Imagine a day, especially after a long busy weekend, showing up to work with that dull look on your face. Ugh, even talking about it makes me sense that there are negative vibes. Thankfully, thats to Neutrogena, I finally found a solution to say goodbye to dull skin. I remember the days when i was a teenager and i was literally growing up with Neutrogena to fight my acne problems, and the brand has really gained my trust in beliving that it offers more than just cleansing.

INTRODUCTION

If you have never heard of Neutrogena, well let me give you a brief introduction on their background.  Neutrogena happens to be the #1 Dermatologies Recommended skincare brand that offers a wide range of skincare products. And since it has gained trust by dermatologies from all around the world, it automatically attracts attention by more people to emphasize that they are a reputable reliable established brand. YAY! Now in today's review, i will be reviewing 3 items which would be the Neutrogena deep clean brightening cleansing oil to foam, the deep clean brightening foaming cleanser and the deep clean blackhead eliminating daily scrub.

REVIEW | Deep Clean Brightening Oil to foam

I honestly found this really interesting, and you would have to agree with me! Just reading the name of the product ' Brightening Oil to Foam' makes me ask a lot of questions. I've heard of the usual foam cleansers where your cleansers comes out in forms of foam, but never oil to foam cleansers. But really, lets get into serious business, i think the description is pretty clear that the oil texture eventually turns into foam after a few scrubs.

Since there was a tiny description saying that it works as a make-up remover and a foam cleanser, i decided to do a make up removal test and surprisingly left me impressed. From the image above, you would see my everyday make up needs being swathed and it took me just 30 second of scrubbing to fully remove all the make up from my hand. And from the looks of it, i'd say it cleanses really well.

I actually like the fact that it comes in a pump nozzle bottle, where all you need is just one pump and you're already on your way to deep cleansing. YAY. Despite it being considered an oil cleanser, i was expecting it to be oily, but surprisingly since the oil formulation turns into foam once you scrub your face, the oil texture instantly disappears. As a result, it was really easy to wash it off, which left my skin feeling clean and refreshed!

REVIEW | Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub

Next would be the Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub, which is a daily scrub to eliminate blackheads. Now, the real deal here is that im usually very particular when it comes to face scrubs as its usually too rough for my skin, or that it would make my skin turn red because the beads are just too harsh. The texture of the scrub had a gel-like texture and i noticed that it also had tiny orange beads in it! Another fact that i would highlight is that i found it rather odd that this is to be considered as a daily scrub, assuming that its gentle enough for daily scrubbing.

It actually foams really well when its mixed with water, and i have to emphasize that the beads are really micro sized! I was assuming that it may be a little rough on my skin (since i know my skin isnt too fond with scrubs) but instead it was actually really gentle. PLUS POINTS! No wonder its suitble for daily scrubbing. But personally, despite it being a daily scrub, im personally using this twice a week.

REVIEW | Deep Clean Brightening Foaming Cleanser

And last but not least would be the Deep Clean Brightening Foaming Cleanser. Amoung the three, i would have to say that this would be the most safest choice if youre looking for a daily cleanser. According to its decription, it says that it effectively deep cleanses and brightens the skin resulting to a more radiant skin. Just what i need! I love being outdoors, and ocassionaly the sun leaves my skin feeling burned and eventually it leaves my skin looking dull. Booo. But after a week of using this, i have to say that i did notice that my skin seems to be brighter. 

Upon testing this out, it actually foams really well, and i have to say that its very gentle on the skin. I dont know about you, but i've expereince really bad washing and i hate it each time that the facial cleanser dries out my skin. With the Deep Clean Brightening Foaming Cleanser, i enjoy washing my face because its really hydrating and it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. 

VERDICT

As a verdict, i would have to say that the range really defines what its suppose to do. Other than washing away impurities, it also deeply cleanses all the unwanted dirt almost effortlessly. By having just 3 of these products, it made me felt as if i was having a facial treatment of my own at my very own home. All you need is some aromatic candles, some theraputic mist, yellow light, relaxing music, and you can happily cleanse away. So about a week ago, I was invited to attend the launch of ZarraB'Joy Cosmetics, and since it was a local brand, I'm all in for support! Very unique packaging

As a start, the Matte lipstick tube has a really nice elegant touch to it. Never in my life i've seen a lipstick tube like this before, making it a trademark on its own to ZarraB'Joy Cosmetics. The casing comes in matte black with a transparent bottom to make it convenient for you to view the actual shade. Psst, as i was trying to test this out, i was shocked to find out that the formulation smells like cake (no kidding). *inserts shocked face here*

Here i have the ZarraB'Joy Cosmetics Matte lisptick in Zealous Dahlia, which i found pretty dark at first, but after application it honestly doesnt look that bad. Hehe. Upon swatching, i notice that it dries really well on my lips and its not at all oily which means i can say that its really comfortable on my lips. I wore this at 12pm one day, and got back home at 8pm to be surprised that the shade lasted me the entire day without reapplication! I noticed that reapplying really makes your lip liquid runs out really fast, but with this, i think it may last me a while since its so long lasting despite with just 1 application. So gais, what do you think of the shade on me?

VERDICT

As a verdict, I would have to say that any women would be excited to own the full collection of 7 shades, and I was also told that these shades are mixable based on your preference, which means, you can practically create shades of your own by a 'mix and match' concept. It's also Halal, approved by KKM, wuduk friendly, non-drying, no-chemicals, long lasting, doest not leave stains (especially when you're drinking from a cup) and 100% Malaysian made! If you're here looking for a hair salon in Pandan Indah that provides hair care/grooming needs, well you have come to the right page! Hidden in Pandan Indah is a Pandan Indah salon called Hair Attitude Group which was opened in mid-2013. Since I recently got myself a job (YES I DONT BELIEVE IT EITHER) somewhere in Ampang, might as well find a regular salon to pop-by on days when I need a new look. Teehee. The interior of Hair Attitude

Well like any other salon, they provide cut & wash, trimming, colouring service, treatment and more! And since it has been a few months since I last coloured my hair, I decided to test out their colouring services. Since my hair was a little bright at the bottom half, and I didn't want to bleach my hair (cause it usually takes forever), I decided to only colour the bottom part and what colour fits black like blue. WOOOPS, spoiler alert!

The whole colouring procedure took me about 2 hours and 30 minutes which I consider it pretty fast than usual. I left my hair to the hands of Lee, a hair stylist from Hair Attitude Workshop who has been working at the salon for over 3 years and counting. He was indeed very friendly as he advised me on what to do to my hair based on my preferences. I decided to go dark blue, and he was nice enough to bleach the ends of my hair just so that the blue pops-up at the bottom creating an ombre shade to my hair. Sweet!

Now let's go to the process of colouring. Application of the bleach, leave-on and rinse took about 40 minutes overall, and I had a nice conversation with Lee while waiting. The process then continued with the hair dye, which I was told that they used Schwarzkopf hair products to colour my hair and I honestly have to say that I like that the product did not have an ammonia smell which I usually hate. That took another 50 minutes from application, leave-on and rinse.

On steam treatment twice since i took the 2 step treatment

We all known that the hair loses moisture once your hair has been coloured, so Lee was nice enough to explain to me the importance of treating the hair after dying hair colour to my hair. Customers may opt to choose 1 step treatment or 2 step treatments, but in my case, i opted to go for the 2 step treatment cause obviously the 2 step treatment is better. Teehee. So again they applied the first step, left it to steam for 5 minutes, applied the second step, left it to steam for another 5 minutes then brought my hair to rinse. The the treatment took about 40 minutes.

VERDICT & RESULTS

*Drum rolls please* And tadaa, here's the outcome! I was surprised that it looked better than expected. This really proved to me that the hair stylist at Hair Attitude Group really knows what they're doing. My hair was styled by Lee and Ah Hong, both very well experienced in hair styling and I have to give credit to them for making me feel beautiful again. Hehe. I have to emphasise that they were very gentle when it comes to handling my hair, and they were nice enough to give me advice on how to properly care for my hair too. Definitely worth my time coming by this salon. Would I come again? I'd say YES! I like the confidence the hair stylist has, and I wouldnt need to worry about anyone messing up my hair.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this property as its located in one of my personal ideal locations, and hopefully be suitable as an investment as well. Sharing to you from an architectural perspective, I would have to say that the layout has been well thought off and internal layout has been arranged to be maximized in terms of playing around with spacing. Not too bad for small families or if you're thinking to rent it out to MSU students, it would also be an ideal property that you can think about as its just 2km away from the university. Hehe.
