The White Ribbon Run 2015 ; AWAM

The highlight was winning a luxury cruise!
If you are not aware on what AWAM stands for, it stands for All Women Action Society, where Women rights are taken action for. And If you are unaware on what the white ribbon means, it means to end violence against women and girls and basically promoting gender equity, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity that is independent of conceptualisation of femininity.

The run wasnt as grand as the Bigger annual marathons organised by big sport brands, but i must say that the turn up was pretty good. I love the fact that it wasnt 'too' packed, and also the fact that everyone had their own space to stretch and warm up at the event space. I reached at about 6.30am, where we had an emcee and a warm up session to make sure we dont hurt ourselves during the marathon, followed by a speech by the President of AWAM, Ho Yock Lin.

Ho Yock Lin was really inspiring as she shared how important it is to spread the awareness. She highlighted the quote that states attendees to 'break the silence, end the violence' which was supported strongly by the runners that day. Did you know that recently, there was a case in Sabah where a girl at 14 years old got herself pregnant by a 40 year old man?! Thats too much! I think as the community, we need to end this silence and stop people from thinking that this is normal.

So after a great warm up  session, the 7km runners were told to be on stand by at the starting line. And the flag off was at 7.30am where we all ran a steep track up hill in the beginning. Haha. Definitely an exhausting track, but the scenery was breathtaking. As the sun rises, since the track was surrounded by tree's and big houses, the track barely had direct sun heat hitting the runners running track.

Finished in about 48 minutes for my 7km run!
After about 48 minutes, i managed to complete my with the other few who completed the run for this special occasion. A goodie bag and medal were given to the finishers as a souvenir of accomplishment! hehe. The event continued with quiz campaign, where attendees had the chance to win prizes, followed by an announcement of the lucky draw numbers of the day.

Im pretty sure a lot of people had an enjoyable morning running/jogging on a fine morning with people who were passionate to support the cause. They had the one -liner by white ribbon campaign ambassadors to share a few words on stage too. And of course, what would be the white ribbon run without the existence of the white ribbon at the event. The event adjourned at about 9.45pm.

Me with Miera supporting the cause.
And how can i not selfie with handsome Tommy who was there too.
Such a lovely event for a good cause, which i do hope that they continue this activity annually to continuously grow to a bigger event with bigger supporters in the future :) For more updates on the campaigns and activities, be sure to follow AWAM's Facebook page.

[REVIEW] Swissbel ; Vitamin B12 Cream

A surprise form Swissbel
Recently i got a parcel from Swissbel and i cant wait to share to you lovely readers what's all of this about. If youre a beauty junky, im sure that you'll be very familiar with this particular brand. But if this is your first time reading about it, well, i'll be glad to explain why has this been hype to many beauty bloggers and celebrities. Did you know that this cream has been sold over 2 million pieces within a year in HK and Taiwan?

Loving the custom touch, with my name on it.
But of course, i would like to thank Swissbel for giving me the chance to review this product. So thank you for giving me the opportunity to finally understand why do people LOVE this cream so much. And i truly appreciate the lovely customised parcel that i just received recently. I think its really sweet :)

Vitamin B12 Cream PLUS+

What this cream does.
Now, lets get back to beauty business. Hehe. Basically, this cream does wonders bringing you technology all the way from Switzerland! So yes, its made in Switzerland with strict quality control by Swiss Federal Ministry of Public Health. From soothing scars, reducing redness, reducing wrinkles, firms, hydrates, tighten pores, rejuvenates and repairs. It sounds pretty unbelievable, but it does the job to a lot of people. If youre looking for a product that solves almost every skin problem, well, this may be your answer. Personally, i love that its oil free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic tested and also that it contains no paraben!

WHATS THE SECRET?

The active ingredients
The secret behind this innovative cream is that they have active ingredients such as Vitamin B12, Rosa, Squalane, Hyalyronic Acidm, Salicylic Acid and Vitamins. Each of these ingredients play a big role in making the cream work. Since im feeling a extra excited on sharing you on the ingredients, well, here would be an explanations on the functions of the active ingredients.

Vitamin B12 // Intensely regenerates and deeply revitalised, skin glows adding more radiance.
Rosa // Hydrates and smoothens skin from sensitiveness and stress.
Salicylic Acid // Unclogs pores by eliminating dead cells.
Hyalyronic Acid // Penetrates H2O into skin efficiently for up to 24 hours.
Squalane // Helps to empower skin and repair skins moisture barrier.
Vitamin // Vitamin E, C, B5 and Provitamin B5, to fight the signs of ageing.

HOW TO USE?

The sample size tube for Vitamin B12 Cream PLUS
Here is the sample size of the Vitamin B12 Cream Plus + which i find it very convenient to bring around during my wanderlust adventures. I also make sure that this is always in my bag, just in case i forget to put some on my face. hehe. I actually had the same question myself on the application. But after some intensive research, i finally found out how to use it!

Cream has a slightly pinkish tone.
According to their official website, it is advisable to apply it daily in the morning and at night for best results. As skin usually face problems around the face and neck area, cream should be applied around that area. It can also be applied under makeup as base which also works as good as a primer. What more can you ask for? hehe. It can also be used as a mask, body lotion, lip mask and hand mask too!

TEXTURE?

Trying it out on my cheeks.
Texture wise, i would say that its rather greasy at first. But after a few minutes, the greasy texture fades, leaving the cream feeling very natural on the skin. I love how i can tell that my skin absorbs the cream very well too. BONUS POINTS! I usually 'dislike' having that sticky feel on my face, but im glad to find out that this cream does not stick to your face like how sunblock would usually stick on you. The cream literally just blends into your skin.

THE VERDICT?

After applying the cream.
I dont know about you, but i think the cream instantly made my face glows. I have yet to continuously use this to find out if the results are better than expected. So i will definitely update this blogpost after i have applied this for over 2 weeks to share you the results of the cream. If youre wondering, my skin type would be a combination skin which is a concern. I also occasionally get acne when my face gets too oily :(

Cant wait to see for major results.
Visibly effective *Proven
After 2 days of application, i already feel that my skin feels healthier than ever! But of course, i did change my routine of washing my face with cold water instead of hot water, and before application of the Vitamin B12 Cream Plus, i would make sure that my face is clean. Im seeing positive results, and i can proudly say that this cream works and its highly effective on any skin type.

Free Education in German Universities | Inlcuding International Students

This has been going for a while and i know tons of my friends are area already planning their way to Germany for free education. We all have to admit that education can occasionally be expensive, but if youre deciding to move to a more international level of studying, why not think about going to Germany? But im sure that some universities in Gemany might require you to take up German Classes, but some may not.

Universities in Germany are now free of tuition fees for all including international students which has attracted a lot of attention from students all around the world. In 2014, Lower Saxony became the last of seven german states to abolish their tuition fees, which were already low enough to possibly provide a better future for more individuals. YAY!

Casa dell’Accademia, Photo Credits: www.foto.usi.ch
German universities had been charging for tuition since 2006 and they realised that German universities has proven unpopular and the German states began dropping them one by one. It is now all gone which means that both domestic and international undergraduate students at public universities in Germany are able to study in Germany for free, with just a small fee to cover for administration. (usually priced at 150 Euro and 250 Euro depending on which University you apply to). Please take note that you may also need to pay for your living expenses while you're there, like food, transport, accommodation, entertainment, course materials and other necessities.

Free education is a concept that is embraced in most of Europe with notable exceptions like the UK, where the government voted to lift the cap on university fee's in 2010, and tripled the tuition fees therefore. The measure has reportedly cost more money than it brought in and reported that students are failing to pay back student loans.

Financially, learning German might be the best choice for some who are struggling to pay for high education fee's. You can move to Germany with a student visa by using the step by step virtual assistant to the German student visa, or you can also read about visa for international student in Germany on migreat.com.

For any other questions on studying n Germany, do visit Migreat Communities in Germany for more details. Bio-Oil is excited to announce their campaign.
When it comes to scars, i believe that we all have scars on our body that we know of. Behind each scar, it holds life episodes which will serve as memories, some good and some paiful ones. So in 2015, Bio-Oil decided to have a campaign themed as 'My Scar My Story' to offer individuals inspirations and solutions to their scars via a microsite www.myscarmystory.com.my.This online platform basically brings Malaysians together to share their scar story a way of inspiring individuals going through emotional distress due to scars.

The lovely venue area, which i couldnt resist to at least take a photo of it.
Some instagram live updates
Yummy eateries early in the morning.
Did you know that research has revealed that every individual would have an average of 3 scars? I even heard that 56% of the women population suffers paychological issues considering thenselves 'abnormal' due to their scars. And imagine that this actually leads them to depression and anti-social behaviors due to low self esteem due to scars? And this is what the campaign is all about, to share experiences on how to cope with your scars.

Ms Stephanie Ng, the Product Manager of Bio-Oil Malaysia
We had Ms Stephanie Ng who is the Product Manager of Bio-Oil in Malaysia who said "We hope through this campaign, women will learn the many ways of coping with scarsd proactively instead of just hidig their scars from the eyes of the public. We are confident that 'My Scar My Story' will offer real life stories that will serve as an inspiration to many who are suffering both wmotionally and physically from scars."

Dr Nazirin, a dermatologist from Pantai Hospital
During the event, we has Dr Nazirin Ariffin, a renowned dermatologist from Pantai Hospital to offer professional advice and weekly tips on scar management via the microsite. Dr Nazirin psychologically supporting her patients are necessary and its far beyond just wound care. Providing optimal advice and guidance to patients as well as managing their expectations will reduce patients emotional distress. She also mentioned that the most common causes of scars among her patients are usually through acne, eczema and psoriasis, second degree skin burns, accidents, cuts and falls.

Some presentation slides which shows the causes of scars.
The highlighted ingredients in Bio-Oil
Scars may look bad in the beginning, but over time with good would care, some topical treatments would usually improve the appearance. Bio-Oil has been clinically proven to help improve the appearance of all types of scars (including mine) thanks to the active ingredients of plant extracts such as Chamomile, Lavender, Rosemary and Calendula oils, together with Vitamins A & E and the breakthrough ingredients-PurCellin Oil. If you are not aware, PurCellin Oil is the reasons that it doesnt leave the skin a greasy feeling.

I've personally used Bio-Oil pretty often when i have scars, and i can confidently say that it does minimise, reduce and lighten scars. For best results, you may need to massage the area in circular motion twice daily for a minimum of 3 months.

Why not share your scar story and possibly win prizes?
Not to forget about the campaign, be sure to get yourself involved in helping inspire other people who are emotionally distress due to scars.
